What Larry does
I help downtown office workers cope with neck, back, and shoulder issues, as well as carpal tunnel syndrome, thoracic outlet syndrome, and other hazards of modern office work. I have also worked with many auto accident victims, as well as people with work injuries (so I'm well versed in PIP and L&I insurance issues). My clientele also includes professional athletes, performers, massage therapists, and other active people.
I publish The Office Rat, which gives desk workers daily self-help advice on coping with the vagaries of the modern workplace.
I also teach a couples massage class that covers the basics of Swedish massage. It's a very fun class and always fills quickly.
When pressed for a description of my work I call it "eclectic Western massage." I integrate Swedish, deep tissue, neuromuscular, and myofascial techniques to help people get out of pain. Many people come to me for help with migraine headaches, fibromyalgia, chronic myofascial pain, and similar conditions.
I have practiced massage professionally since 1998 (full-time since 2002) and have over 700 hours of massage continuing education (as well as 1,000 of original certification training).
I'm a big fan of world music and publish a website with information on the Seattle world music scene: Seattle World Beat.
