I am your 1 stop resource for creative ideas and solutions for all your promotional needs!
In this latest economy, businesses are looking to trim their budgets to conserve their funds. What is usually the first item to be cut? Marketing! That shows the business simply sees marketing as a line item and expense that can be eliminated until business is better.
WRONG! Marketing is an investment in your business - how else will people know about you? Plus, in surveys, people have said when they see a company cut back on Marketing, they think it is a sign the business is in trouble. As we all know, it is all about perception.
An example - right after 9/11, all the fast food chains stopped advertising except Taco Bell. They continued to advertise and had a much larger market share than the others. And on my website is an article about Post and Kelloggs at the height of the Depression - one of those companies understood the value of marketing.
Promotional Marketing can be used in any area - your business, personal life, where you volunteer, non-profits you support, churches, associations and clubs you join, school fundraisers - anywhere it is important to put out the message.
Why use Promotional Marketing? I'll give you 10 reasons:
1. Motivate customers to purchase
2. Attract new customers
3. Build awareness or an image
4. Stand out from the competition
5. Employee recognition and motivation awards
6. Increase trade show traffic
7. Stimulate a sales meeting
8. Promote a new store or anniversary
9. Introduce new products or services
10. Improve direct mail response
and for good measure - say Thank You to staff, vendors, suppliers, customers, service businesses, etc. - all those people who help make your business grow and succeed.
As Maya Angelou said "People may not remember what you said, they may not remember what you did, but they always remember how you made them feel." How can you be memorable? That's my job! I research ideas and solutions, keep things on track and make sure your promotion is on time, on budget and meets your goal. It's all about what works for you.
