Happy Hour in the 253?
What about Tacoma? Is there a Biznik posse there longing for face-to-face experience with each other?

Mike Skinner said that ... and it came to mind while I was marveling at how far Biznik has come, as measured by the number of members.
So, is there a betting pool as to when the 1,000th member joins? 933 members at this moment. Oh, wait, 934. Don't even say, McBiznik. hmm, maybe we should?
Interesting revolution you've got here. Thank you.
What is your sense of when it is or is not important to reply to comments left on your blog? Why?
I come from those schools which promote succinct communication and conservation of bandwidth, so I am a little concerned that I might ought to be replying to comments when I am not.
There are so many great posts on Biznik. I'd love to be able to click an icon and ship a post to someone, e.g., I'd like to forward the SF Happy Hour stuff to some friends in SF whom I keep pestering to join. And Elke's event info to a friend who regretted missing her last Biznik presentation.
I understand that some of the stuff is purposely available only to Biznik Members, and that's cool. But ... distributing some of the posts would be great promo for what this org is/does.
(Maybe this feature already exists and I've missed it.)

A few times already, I've tried to recall the name or business of someone I encountered at a Biznik gathering, but can't quite remember their vitals. (Glancing through member photos to jog my memory no longer works, now that membership has topped 500 peeps!)
I long for a compilation of who else was in attendance, with links to their member profiles.
Anyone else feel that way?
Do you moderate the comments that visitors leave on/in your blog--letting them queue up for your approval before the comments go live?
What is the thinking behind your choice?
I'm not sure how to form an opinion on this. Thanks.
Biznik is, without compunction, a close group. There's certainly the premise that in buying products and services I would rather see my money go to a friend, or friend-of-a-friend, than to someone unknown in the ether.
However, a business transaction gone awry with a friend can have very painful consequences (including trickle-down ones).
What kinds of things do you do to avert such disasters?
New artist housing is in the works, and there is room for five folks to join the artist co-op which is leasing Building 22 in the old Rainier Brewery.
Spaces are raw, each artist is responsible for their own build-out / finish work. Lease is for five years, with two five-year renewal options. An option to purchase exists, BUT, there are some major hurdles to overcome before that can be exercised.
Spaces are ~1,000 square feet. Ceilings ~14-15'. Entire complex will house 30+ artists when it is complete, ten units in our building.
Disclaimers & Caveats abound. The project has been fraught with challenges. If it works, it'll be a hella sweet living situation.
Rent is $.65/sq ft plus common area charges, expected to be <$1/sq ft total.
If you are brave and curious, for information and tours, send an email of inquiry to Sietch22ArtistHousing@gmail.com
Future tenants must have $5,000 to $10,000 available for move-in and build-out costs.
