Since it's inception in 1993, the Director of Movements Afoot, Lesley Powell has appeared in many articles about Mind Body Fitness including O Magazine, Self, Time Out Magazine, Elle, Newsday, the Village Voice, Shape Magazine, etc. Lesley also assisted the PhysicalMind Institute in the development of Standing Pilates and the book, "Standing Pilates" .

She received a certificate in the Franklin Method March 2007.
