  • Hi!

I noticed you are new to Biznik and while reviewing your profile, came upon this event.

I'll come and then we can meet in person!

I agree with you, we can't wait for someone else to fix the problems we hear about and would love to exchange ideas with you.

  • Hi Chanel,

I'm a little late in my reply but as they say, better late than never.

I personally wish to thank you for not only the work you do with persons with disabilities but for making it something we too, can utilize to tap into another market or at the very least, to be more cognizant of others' situations.

And you are correct, we often do not think of these things unless we are faced with them ourselves. I know, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 1996 and back then very few people even knew what I was talking about, let alone being able to understand what I was going through. They just didn't 'get it.'

I appreciate you for all the useful tips and links so that I too, can further educate myself and learn to be more sensitive to other people.

Warmly, Lisa Hanna Action Biz Concepts

  • I have always offered new clients, what I refer to as 'complementary' sessions - free is good and it allows us a chance to get to know one another before we actually begin working together.

I'm really excited to see how to expand this offering with what George has to share. And a free book too - wow! That's fantastic!

  • And now .... for the moment we've all been waiting for ... the winner of the iPod is .... drum roll please!

...Sarah Giffrow of Enko Photography. Congratulations, Sarah!!

We wish to send special thanks to Kevin Crawford, Owner of Urban Grind for sponsoring our event! If you haven't been there yet, you need to head on over. He has one of "THE BEST" meeting places I know of. By the way, there is also an Urban Grind in NW Portland. He has a great menu at nice prices, fine coffees and teas and there are a variety of space options depending on the size of your group. He is a friendly and fascinating guy to know.

Special thanks to DeBorah Beatty (recently transplanted to Oregon from Walla Walla) for introducing ME to Dibspace and for sponsoring our event too by bringing wonderful treats!

And of course, our biggest thanks goes to Dominic Canterbury, Founder of Dibspace for creating such a viable and sustainable community for us to be a part of!

  • Hi John,

This is a terrific article. Thanks for your contribution to the Biznik community and musicians on the whole.

I do hope that over time, more and more people will be supporting music directly. Like so many other industries, it is time to cut out the middlemen that take the largest pieces of the profitability earned and give it to those that actually work hard to earn it!

    Great, informational article.

  • This sounds terrific! I love collaborating. See you there. Together, we CAN change the world, I just know it. It may start as a small event or two. It may be just an interesting idea. But what begins as a small movement, like a pebble in a pond, has the potential to become a huge movement. Let's do it...
