What Lisa does

I teach cooking classes, cater small events and I am a personal chef. Whether I am catering, being a personal chef or teaching private and public cooking classes, my devotion is to my craft. My passion is using local, organic and sustainable food whenever possible as well as showing clients how wonderful and seductive the world of food can be!

I am an aspiring professional food writer. I currently write for my website and regularly contribute to NaturallySavvy.com.

What Lisa does best

Keeping my clients happy and introducing them to new foods. Listening to their dietary needs and concerns and implimenting those desires. Also educating clients about sustaintability by using produce and animal proteins that are in season.

*Nutrition and Business Baccalaureate from George Fox University.

*Culinary degree from The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) in Hyde Park, New York.

Experience

I have worked in commercial kitchens from Seattle to New York. I have over 11 years in the professional food industry. I travel to continually research my field and keep up with current trends in food preparation here and abroad. I have worked in commercial and private gardens to expand my knowledge of sustainable agriculture. I dabble in food styling with a great photographer (Robertson Ashman).
