This truly is a great process Pete - no matter what the project it has a beginning, an end and all the 'stuff' in the middle to make it work. I think it would be very helpful for those who have not used this system, or cannot visualize, to see an actual photo of the process - so they can visualize their own project on the wall!
I've actually used this method Pete - and it works! Visual reminders as well as mapping your plan are extremely important. Although I've written the steps, I love the idea of being able to move the pieces using the post its. Nothing stays the same, everything is in constant motion so our 'map' needs to be flexible as well. Looking forward to Part 2!
Take your top five picks/suggestions, have a 'branding party' with other business folks. This is the best way to detach yourself and view the name from a consumers standpoint - perhaps coming up with a name not brought to the table. They can also help with tag lines, your 30 second commercial etc. The energy of creative minds does amazing things when brought together!
Thanks Dave. Great reminders! These are pet peeves of mine as well! I think we all 'feel' the same, but often forget to 'do' these simple tasks.
Remember fellow Biznikers, if any message be it web, email or video doesn't get to the point in the first 4 seconds - your potential customers loose interest.
Thanks Terry. A great reminder to do the basics -
Tell people how you've helped others (its natural for people want to do business with successful businesses)
And ask for referrals (because most customers will be happy to refer you but need to be reminded).
Will you please shoot me an email at loma@bluespherelabs.com
Thanks
Thank you for a great article Andy. First of all let me tell you I love teenagers. The shifts in communication between generations are an important aspect to selling, to surviving. I have one son in Gen X, one in Gen Y. I have learned to communicate with them in "their" style and noticed great improvement in their participation and willingness to share ideas, events even humor.
So, not only can we learn and apply your message in business, we can do the same in our homes, enriching the communication with our center, our children.
If I could give you one piece of advise from a 'seasoned' business person: Don't just hear, Listen. And it won't just apply in business, but your family and friends as well. If you're not sure what you heard, or you don't think a person meant to say what they did, repeat it to them and respectfully allow them the opportunity to correct themselves. It shows you are truly listening.
Thanks for another great event Howard. I personally took away the most from your nine points, but also enjoyed the inside look into Col Sanders 'other' secret!
Hi Dan, sorry I had to cancel as soon as I signed up... Will watch for the next one!
I'm joining the group simply for an excuse to meet the infamous Rags Madison.
This was the most information packed 2 1/2 hours I've attended in a very long time. And it flew! Steve, you showed me specifically where I'm lacking and how super easy it is to correct. Dan, the insight into how to get the most out of our Biznik profiles was extremely valuable. The focus on video in social networking and marketing was right on target with Blue Sphere Labs and our video, animation and digital storytelling. This was more than just an 'overview', it was full of targeted information to use immediately. And I will!
Thanks Steve, for writing more than just a great commentary by posting processes, directives & links. Looking forward to discussing our video newsletters with you!
Love how you took every day life and brought it home so that each one of us could relate in our own way. We all have that 100 to reach, and for every one of us its different. Excellent writing.
Another great read Denny!
Kristopher, Unfortunately I was not able to make this commitment. I'm hoping you schedule another one very soon!
Please add me to your list for the next date! Loma
Incredible. Thanks so much for making this an information packed event. I'm not technically challenged and thought I knew my basic stuff... but I learned an emormous amount in a short time. I highly recommend anyone in the business of promoting themselves to attend the next Insider event. It was time well spent. I left with a clearer vision of what I need to do and exactly how to do it. Well done!
Thank you Kristen. May I contact you outside this sight with a couple of short direct questions?
I'm so very I have to cancel this lunch. Was looking forward to it! I will keep my eyes out for the next...
