What Lori does
http://www.allbusiness.com go to "bloggers" - many great articles.
You know how some companies have troubles in their sales team - issues with turnover, inconsistent messaging, a drop in sales, or just plain inconsistent numbers? You know how indiviuals who are running a business just can't seem to put a process in place to help them close business and grow into a thriving company?
Well what I do is bring nitty-gritty ideas, tips, and strategies to the company and help through a coaching-approach to move everyone forward. To do this, I focus on accepting the situation as it is, and help challenge everyone get to where they desire to be.We take the best of "old school" sales strategies and team them up with new social media tools.
I also help non-profits as a fundraising auctioneer (also known as a benefit auctioneer) I'm experienced and certified to help non-profit organizations raise funds at annual live and silent auction events. Creating strategic alliances is a strong way to build your business, and I write, train, and speak on this. What I do works for small business although my main clients are companies with 5-75 sales people.Blogging internationally for AllBusiness.com and Hoover's (owned by Dun & Bradstreet), I also hang with my sales effectiveness counterparts at www.topsalesexperts.com. Success in selling is part process, tools, skills, and inpiration. Most of us don't have all four areas working all the time - so contact me when you, or a business you know needs a boost.
What Lori does best
Help people take action consistently, and turn their brilliant idea into money in their pocket.
Help people get out of their own way and focus on what is most important in selling.
Work on problem areas within any B2B sales team.
Coach service providers and others on overcoming some of the basic stumbling blocks within selling, such as really believing in your core what the value is that you bring, building confidence, and understanding the flip-side of selling for those who think that selling is pushy or negative (I would say that bad sales people do this, but that is NOT professional selling. Professional sellers are change agents..... they help others get educated and guided on ways to improve their lives, businesses, and the world at large.>What does Lori need?

Experience
Growing up in my grandmother's fine women's apparel store, I learned many things about business - quality, integrity, marketing -- and gained some very strong skills around selling.
I held my first fundraiser for muscular distrophy at 12, and ran a full blown fundraising jazz concert for UW childcare at age 22.
My technology and financial services sales background spans over 22 years as an adult, in every conceivable sales role. Working on straight commission to support a family, I learned how to find ways to win that allowed my customer to win as well. As one of the top sales reps for several corporations, I won and worked multi-million dollar accounts. In financial services, I called on C level executives and taught others how to do so.
In sales management, I used what I learned as a parent and as a successful sales professional to help lead others. After building a strong inside sales team for CCBN in Boston, I created a corporate university and ran it until the company was positioned to be sold to Thomson Financial. In this position, I became Franklin-Covey certified in time management, business writing, Seven Habits, and presentation training. Our corporate university tied learning into ROI for several hundred employees and cross-functional teams.
Five years ago, I became a fundraising auctioneer and help business organizations as well as non-profit charities to increase revenues to support themselves and their causes. It is extremely rewarding work.
For the past four years, I've blogged for D&B's All Business, for Top Sales Experts, Sales SHEBang, and speak internationally on sales effectiveness topics.
