I am a Certified Mortgage Planner. I team up with Financial Planners, CPAs and Insurance Providers to help clients successfully manage their home equity to increase liquidity, safety, rate of return and tax deductions. Unlike the traditional loan officer that generally only helps clients pick loans with the lowest interest rate or monthly fee, my role is to help my clients integrate the mortgage loan that they select into their overall long and short term investment plan, to help minimize taxes, increase cash flow and minimize interest expense.

Most homebuyers as well as loan officers have been conditioned to believe that a mortgage is simply a debt rather that a useful financial tool. They think this way simply because that's the way it's always been. The problem is, because they're not seeing the bigger picture, that a mortgage can be used as a vehicle for helping to build financial wealth, homeowners are retiring over $500,000 poorer than they would have, if they had only given their mortgage terms more thought.

I educate clients on the concepts that banks and many businesses use to successfully optimize their debt and investing strategies. In essence, I advise clients on how to better leverage and structure their debt in order to achieve the highest tax benefits, liquidity and safety and get the highest possible return on their money. My mortgage practice is less focused on interest rates and more focused on the long-term effects that various mortgage loan programs will have on the homeowner's financial state.
