As a Virtual Assistant, I enjoy doing the things that most busy professionals simply don't have time to do themselves, such as placing ads for their services, finding the best websites to host their blog or professional articles, locating potential customers and referrals for their services, etc.

While all of this promoting other entrepreneurs is exciting and pays the bills, my real passion is writing. I have extensive experience developing website content and producing topical articles, as well as researching and developing informative articles on a variety of medical issues.

I am currently working on my first book, due to be completed this spring. Putting words to paper through pen has always been a true love of mine, and is what I enjoy the very most of all of my work.

What I do best, and what I am the most passionate about, is writing. I have been writing professionally in some format since 2002. My most rewarding projects have included developing client information sheets and approved charting forms for a busy midwifery practice, online publishing of those same resources, blog and website development, and individual articles for outside clients in related fields.

In any profession, particularly those dealing with close, one-on-one interaction with clients or patients, individuality is a critical component of expressing not only one's professional capabilities but also one's nature, character, and personality. I express that individuality for the clients for whom I write and/or develop written materials.

With a medical background in midwifery, my areas of writing expertise focus on medical issues and research, pregnancy and childbirth, health and nutrition, natural supplements, holistic and herbal remedies, relaxation and stress management, and general healthy living.

I really need to meet other writers and professionals in my home area, as I am a relative newcomer to San Diego and am still settling in. With so much of my work performed via computer and electronic communication, it is easy for me to "get lost in cyberland" and miss out on the face-to-face interaction that is so vital to being a real member of my community.

I am currently a free-lance Virtual Assistant with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Photoshop, and Front Page web design programs, as well as being proficient in internet research, graphic design, digital photography and graphic development, website maintenance, and the intricacies of blogging.

I particularly enjoy promoting small businesses and solo entrepreneurs, finding ways to help people become more visible to their communities and getting their talents and skills recognized by consumers through a variety of online and local venues.

I have written an extensive variety of medical information articles and developed website and blog content on a wide range of subjects.

I have been a mother for twenty-two very blessed years, and was a practicing midwife for ten years. I managed a small restaurant for a year before moving into apartment management which I enjoyed for two years. I co-managed a small construction company for four years and am now pursuing full-time independent employment.
