Louise Penberthy
mediator, trainer
seattle, Washington 98101
What Louise does
Get it done right, stop the complaints, and get better buy-in from above.
I can help you with those frustrating conversations between tech people and non-tech people, where you can't understand a word they are saying. Unlike other facilitators and mediators, I have been in the tech industry myself, as a programmer, project manager, client, and vendor. I offer workshops, coaching for managers, and mediation.
What Louise does best
Managers and team members in software companies and programming departments are my best clients.
I work with software and Web-design companies of 25 to 75 people, as well as programming departments in larger companies.
Education
MS in Computer Science, Northwestern.
MS in Information Design and Technology, Georgia Tech.
Mediation training, University of Washington School of Law, Continuing Education Department.
Experience
I have worked in the programming industry for 15 years, in small companies and large ones; as a programmer, project manager, interface designer, instructor, client, and vendor; in Seattle, Atlanta, D.C., and Chicago. I have been a mediator for six years, mediating a broad range of cases in Small Claims Court in King County.
