When we work together, you'll get fired up about writing like never before.

First, we'll quiet any lingering fears of writing. We'll run off those prissy teachers or bully bosses who made you worry about every word you wrote. You'll quickly learn that I'm not that kind of teacher. I'm a compassionate sidekick who understands what it's like to look at a blank screen--and what it takes to fill it with just the right words.

Then you'll get going with jumpstart techniques that end procrastination and increase your confidence. And creativity. You'll learn to write faster, stronger and better using new tools and tips. You'll find your distinctive writing voice and style. (I promise never to try to make your writing like mine.) Finally, with an added dollop of whimsy and fun, we'll pull it all together so you can tap into your natural writing rhythm.

I get people fired up! I give my students and clients the encouragement they need to write with conviction and creativity. I spent 15 years as a journalist, so I know how to tell compelling stories, and I teach my students adn clients how to use storytelling in their busienss letters, email, reports and proposals.

I've been a writer for 25 years, writing for national magazines and newspapers, such as Southern Living, Yoga Journal, Americanstyle, Country Living, Seattle Post-Intelligencer, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and the online version of the Washington Post. For the past four years, I've served as a business writing coach for major coporations, governments, universities, and individuals.
