I'm a psychotherapist, and I love my work. My strengths: I'm present, open, accessible, supportive, challenging, humorous. I strive to offer clients deep listening, compassion, possibility, kinship and soul tending. I listen for the subtext of what my clients tell me, and when I draw this subtext out, they typically experience relief and significant emotional shifts over time because they feel heard and understood. My goal is to help my clients tap their own wisdom about what they need. I operate with the principle that clients know themselves most intimately; I just need to ask the right questions.

Issues I most often address with clients include:

Women's issues, men's issues; dating and relationships; depression; general and social anxiety; grief and loss; childhood abuse; life transitions (new job, new move, divorce/breakup, etc.); trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

• a quiet meeting space large enough for 10 people
• connections with healthcare practitioners (MDs, nurses, NDs, acupuncturists, massage therapists, chiropractors, etc.) and life coaches

I have a master's degree in applied behavioral science/counseling from Bastyr University/LIOS. I'm currently working on my dissertaion to complete my Ph.D. in mythological studies and depth psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute. (I also have a master's in this.)

Years of experience as a psychotherapist, community-agency counselor, and psychiatric hospital clinician have connected me with clients from diverse cultures, races, classes, religions, and sexual orientations. My training in counseling and psychotherapy is ongoing, and I attend workshops each year to hone my skills and to enhance the journey with clients.

Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked as a writer and editor for five years, and I continue to publish freelance work.
