  • In which grade are you?

If you were to put yourself in a grade, based on how you felt about running your business, which one would it be?

Have you skipped any grades? Or, do you need to stay after school? :)

  • Vancouver, B.C. Facility Rentals

    Suggestions, please & thanks!

I'm looking for a venue to run workshops and do introductory talks in Vancouver, B.C.

Anyone familiar with some budget-conscious locations?

    Thanks!

  • Amusing Tales from the Road

I wrote an article in my newsletter entitled "The Long and Winding Road...of Life" and ended it with some of my road adventures. Please see: http://www.changeofheart.ca/Newsletter-%20Heart%20to%20Heart/Heart%20to%20Heart%20-%20Summer%2008%20email%20-lrp.pdf

Anyone care to share your funny (maybe not when it first happened) tales from the road?

  • Going out on a Limb - Recycling

I'm a big believer in the 3 R's and look for ways to be 'green'.

The rare time, I do send personal mail between friends, we re-use envelopes (the ones that come from credit card invitations, donation requests, etc.).

I would like to re-use these in my business with a big green sticker saying that "I recycle" or something to that effect.

I know that image is important in business, so I'm reluctant to do this, despite my wish to be as environmentally friendly as possible. Is it worth the risk?

Love to hear your ideas on this.

  • "Biguttas"

Don't bother looking this one up in the dictionary. It's a word only known to my immediate family, started 35 yrs. ago when my 4 yr. old sister misheard my Mom say, "Go to bed, you look tired and have biguttas under your eyes." (Big gutters)

Then, there's "gungai" a word that's come to mean "water" in my friend's family.

I'm curious - any words in your "family dictionary" that the general population wouldn't know about? It should be noted that these words are usually started by the very young.

  • Multi-media projector recommendations, please.

I am in the market for a multi-media projector so that I can hook up my laptop when I do stress demos to show people how what they think and feel affects their heart rhythms.

Does anyone have any recommendations for me - one that will do the job, but doesn't break the bank? I think I'll need a minimum of 2000 lumens.

    Thanks for your input.

  • What Do You Like About Self-Employment?

Recently, I was asked to participate in a focus group for The Arthritis Society and Self-Employment. We were asked about the benefits of self-employment.

Answering this question helped to clarify that I was 'on the right path'. I love meeting people from all walks of life, having wonderful new experiences and opportunities, working how I want to work and giving people the "key" so that they can "open the door" to their own world of possibilities.

I'm curious to hear about what other Biznikers enjoy about Self-Employment.

  • Opinion please,on web & email address

My official business name is Change of Heart Stress Solutions. I chose to shorten my web & email address to www.changeofheart.ca & changeofheart@shaw.ca so that people didn't have to do so much typing.

I wonder if that was an unwise decision as "Change of Heart" doesn't reflect what I do. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
