What Marie does

Make Your Expertise Work for YOU!

What if you had a proven system for developing and presenting workshops that made it easy for you and earned raves from participants? What if you could feel confident about your content and delivery before you present your workshop? Imagine yourself prepared, poised, and professional as you teach the subjects you know best and reap the benefits of conducting a high-quality workshop.

One of the best ways to get recognized as an expert in your field is to teach others how to do some of what you do. Using a consistent method to develop those workshops also has a host of benefits including generating additional income streams and identifying gaps in your business. Visit You Out Loud for more information and get started teaching today!

What Marie does best

I'm a great teacher and I love teaching others how to teach and present what they know. Seeing a former student get up and hit a home run in a presentation, speech, or workshop is an incredible feeling. I particularly enjoy seeing the "A-HA" light come on in someone's eyes - especially when they realize they can do something they never considered doing!

What does Marie need?

I'm looking for people who need to develop and present workshops as part of their marketing strategy to build their reputation and professional credibility. If you are in a profession that relies heavily on public speaking, educational presentations, and workshopping, you must make sure that what you deliver is clear, concise, and consistent.

You only get one chance to make an outstanding first impression - make it count!

Experience

I am a communications coach and consultant, specializing in program planning, workshop development, and information organization and design. Having worked as both a trainer in corporate America and as an instructor for college students and young adults, I am familiar with diverse audiences and addressing needs across the learning spectrum.

From my formal education, I have a strong foundation in communication and facilitation. Throughout my twenty years of experience in business, I have worked across the spectrum of industries, from high tech to insurance, manufacturing to restaurant, and training and technical writing to office administration in various construction firms.

In the past four years, I have had the opportunity to do extensive program planning, curriculum development, and lesson planning. For two and a half years, I worked with high-risk, low income youth as a software and career preparation trainer, then left to start my own business.

During the time I was teaching, I completed a Life Coach certification course. The course built on my conflict resolution and facilitation training by emphasizing the importance of close listening, suspension of judgement, carefully considered questions, and deep reflection.

In the business world, those skills translate to more efficient information gathering, an increased ability to organize and prioritize information, outstanding communication, and heightened group facilitation skills.
