What Marie Lail does

Everything you do - and feel - is influenced by your surroundings. (Too often, when you think you're in a "bad space," you really are. Literally!) What I do is help my clients - homeowners and small business owners - imagine and build spaces that embrace their unique lifestyles and requirements.

Interior design may be simply the craft of making an interior space effective for a given use, but thoughtful interior design takes that further - to create spaces that "feel" right.

No matter the room -- gourmet kitchen, a spa bathroom with a zen feel, your office, or a whole home in need of a complete refresh, we'll create beauty, function and warmth that feels right - to you.

It's so important for me to really listen to my clients' hopes, visions and dreams -- to learn what matters most to them. Often the most important things are felt, not said. What does "home" mean? How should this office feel? From that starting point evolves very personalized design solutions that blend client requirements with innovative and imaginative professional interior design experience and input.

My interior design process is collaborative, creative and fun. My kitchen design and bath design work has garnered awards which is wonderful. The greatest thrill, however, comes from seeing the beautiful results, and witnessing the enthusiastic satisfaction of my clients. Exceeding expectations -- that's always my goal.

Please call me anytime to talk about how to make your home or office a space in which you love to spend time.

Marie Lail's specialties

I'm a CERTIFIED MASTER KITCHEN + BATH DESIGNER -- less than 300 interior design professionals in the United States hold this credential which is obtained through experience, education and examination. Creating thoughtfully imagined rooms for cooking and entertaining, or relaxing and refreshing are special areas of expertise for which I've garnered many awards.

Imaginative space planning is a particular skill, one I always apply with the goal of maximizing functionality without sacrificing beauty and style.

Really listening carefully to my clients to hear their stated and unspoken dreams is critical to the success of every kitchen design, bath design, office design, or interior design project. With those thoughts guiding the work, we collaborate with the goal of creating beautiful, comfortable, livable and functional interior spaces that "feel right" for them.

I've developed a professional interior design process over many projects that drives the work forward, facilitates decision-making, tracks specifications, budgets, and myriad details, organizes the work, and clarifies responsibilities.
