Pleeeeze check out my logo and report your initial reaction. Then offer suggestions for my logo and profile. I must be doing something wrong. Nobody loves me or my work.

  • What Have You Purchased Recently?

Most networking discussions focus on generating revenue. How about contributing some insights about spending? What did you buy? Why did you buy? Can you use your buying experience to support your marketing activities? How might others benefit from your thinking process?

  • Check out Plazes

Two German marketereers wanted to track each other around town for get togethers and the Plazer was born. As others joined, www.plazes.com was born.

http://blog.plazes.com/ provides some insight into recent developments and applications for the Wii and smart phones.

The Plazer pops up with an id, a place and a message when someone wants to let their network know about activity. That's it--that's all. Mashed with Google Earth, one can pan to the location of friends in real time. Amazing stuff.

Plazes also pledges support to www.betterplace.org, a "long tailed" operation that makes a real, immediate difference.

  • Tech Tips

Here's a chance to share some of your inside secrets about using technology. Go ahead and show off.

I'll start. Sometimes new programs mess with your system in unexpected ways and do not uninstall correctly. You can "blueprint" your pc using "msinfo32." Export the msinfo32 file to text and then load your new program. Repeat the process after the new program has been installed.

Use my web site www.groganenterpriseservices.com/textcompare to sort out the changes. Export files typically run several thousand lines. You can similarly compare exported files from two different workstations.

The comparison site can be used to compare any two text files. It's quick and easy to use. If you need capability not provided by the web site, contact me directly at marty@redondowa.com.

  • Attention Parlor Gamers

Help me refine my game. Many years ago and far, far away, http://www.entrantech.com/JustAGameWWW.htm flew into my stream of subconsciousness.

Just-A-Game borrows elements of chess, checkers, bridge, trivial pursit and a few other ideas. It needs to be played so that the rules make sense and I can finally know if it's fun or just crazy. (Maybe it's just crazy fun.)

You can print the board, tokens, rules and scoresheet from the web site. Have a party and let me know what you think.

Comments are always welcome. If anyone would like to work with me to develop an online version, I'm all ears.
