Are You A Professional Women in Transition?
- Is there something in your life you want to change, but you're not sure how to take that first step?
- Are you in the middle of a transition that was not of your choosing and you need help getting your life back on track?
- Are you feeling a little stuck in your current situation, but you are not sure what direction you want to take your life?
The prospect of navigating a life transition can be challenging and stressful. You worry about whether this new path in leading you in the right direction. You are not sure where to get the information you need to make solid decisions and you find it difficult to keep yourself motivated and on track so that you can reach your goals.
But transitions do not need to be overwhelming. In fact, navigating a life transition can be one of the most exciting and self-affirming processes you can experience. Being in the space between the old and the new provides you time to get reconnected with what's really important to you. It offers you a wonderful opportunity to clarify what you want the next chapter of your life to look like and gives you the permission to pursue the dreams that have been dancing around the far corners of your consciousness.
Hi, I am Mary Ann Bailey, owner of Bailey Coaching; and my area of expertise is coaching professional women in transition. I describe myself as a courage coach. I help my clients connect with their inner courage and then show them how to use the strength of that courage to overcome the barriers of change so that they can successfully achieve their goals. What Mary Ann does best
I am really good at helping people connect with their inner courage and then showing them how to use the power of that courage to overcome obstacles and acheive their dreams.
I also understand how difficult it can be to pursue one's dreams. I had a book kicking around in my head for 3 years before I found the courage to challenge the voices of fear and doubt that kept telling me that the book was a silly idea and that I was not adequate to the task.
Luckily, I found a great book coach who helped me tap into my courage and passion for writing and Gentle Warrior, Awakening the Courage to Live a Bold and Brilliant Life, (coming out summer 09) was finally written.
I know firsthand what it's like to journey down the less traveled roads where dreams reside and I look forward to being a guide for anyone who is ready to step out of the confines of their comfort zone and start living a bigger and bolder life.

Experience
I am a life coach who helps women successfully navigate life transitions. My expertise in the area of life transitions comes from a combination of both personal and professional experience.
I started my career in the field of education as a junior high and high school teacher. After ten years of teaching I decided to return to school and get a Masters Degree in Counseling. Upon completing my degree, I was hired a counselor at a youth and family counseling agency.
I worked for 4 years doing direct service work and then was given the opportunity to move into the role of program director. Three years later I was promoted to associate director of the agency.
After working for 12 years in the nonprofit sector and surviving a diagnosis of breast cancer, I once again decided it was time to transition to a new career. I realized my priorities had changed. Coaching seemed like the perfect answer. I started Bailey Coaching, and have helped people from all walks of life successfully navigate the uncertain pathways of life transitions.
As a coach, it is my mission to create a safe and respectful coaching environment in which my clients feel both supported and challenged as they work towards their personal goals.
My coaching style has been described as warm, direct, and respectful. I will push my clients because I believe in their potential. I will be there to celebrate their successes and I will be there to support them when they stumble. I also like to have fun and believe that humor is a necessary ingredient in any success.
I hold a BA in Psychology, a Masters Degree in Counseling, and am a graduate of the Integral Coaching Program of New Ventures West in San Francisco.
