Matt has lived life as an artist, designer, entertainer, writer, photographer, humanitarian, activist, adventurer, entrepreneur, healing arts enthusiast, senior corporate executive and goofball romantic.

MashedPotatoes.org is a grass roots community project designed to deliver large quantities of potatoes and easy-to-store food items to Northwest Harvest. On the first Friday of every quarter, Matt turns Gasworks Gallery into a free evening of art, music, and hors d'oeuvres, to help create awareness about MashedPotatoes.org. Guests are encouraged to bring storable food item for Northwest Harvest. MashedPotatoes.org is 100% volunteer based. Not fueled by private donations, their currency is the all mighty spud!

Matt's latest creation is Paint Dancing! Starting from a idea while painting and dancing with a friend, Paint Dancing has now grown to NYC, LA, San Francisco, Miami, Chicago and a dozen other major cities. Paint Dancing events support MashedPotatoes.org's efforts to feed those in need.

Featured on Evening Magazine, NWCN, King 5 and Kong 6 News, The Seattle Channel, Q13, Conscious Talk and KOMO Radio and in Seattle Metropolitan Magazine, Seattle PI, Chicago Tribune, Seattle Weekly, Baltimore Sun and much more, MashedPotatoes.org and Paint Dancing are noted for their large contributions to food banks around the country.

  It's easy to understand how he has thrived in a world that says "Artists never make it -it's too hard - etc"

  Matt is more of a force of nature than a person.

  With a broad smile and a light step, Matt goes into action. He doesn't hesitate, doubt or at least, he doesn't show it.

  Cool and confident till the end, Matt gets stuff done and doesn't let much get in his way.
