I run a small company called JCD repair that repairs broken iPhones, iPods, and iPads. I started the business out of my apartment in Seattle in 2007 and today we have a Seattle retail space as well as locations in Chicago and Madison, WI. In addition, we have 12 employees. Our business has grown 100% every year and we're on pace to do about a $1 million in sales in 2012.

Let me just say this: I love running a small business! The day-to-day variety means I never get bored - fixing phones, customer service, marketing, web development, business planning, managing employees, and tons more. In addition, it's awesome to see happy customers every day, and I take great pride in helping to support our employees and being a part of the solution the nation's economic problems.

Before starting JCD Repair, I spent 5 years working at Microsoft and before that a year lecturing on operating systems at the University of Wisconsin - Madison.

I currently live in Chicago, IL and am looking forward to getting married at the end of this summer. Life is pretty good at the moment. [less]
