I represent a one-woman movement to bring mental health services to seniors' homes, using their Medicare benefit. Too many seniors are suffering from undiagnosed depression and anxiety (among other things). Due to limited finances, transportation difficulties and outdated information about what depression is, only about 15% of those who are suffering are actually getting treatment. I am removing barriers to support so that seniors can live their best lives. I am also a support for seniors' families as I have information and resources to help families cope with things like dementia, declining health and independence as well as planning for the future.

I LOVE connecting people with resources in the community, and providing information -- all to enhance and improve their lives. If I don't know of a good resource or I don't have an answer to a question, I will find it!

An office to sublet! I just need an office for a couple of hours per week to acomodate those clients that live outside of the area I can drive to. Ideally, the office would be a relatively easy drive from Queen Anne and Magnolia, where these clients live.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work (BASW) and a Master of Social Work (MSW). I am also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).

I have been in the mental health field since 1996. I have been working with seniors since 2001. I worked as a social worker for 5 years in Auburn Regional's Geriatric Psychiatry Unit, learning from geriatric psychiatrists and other talented mental health professionals. At the hospital, I worked extensively with families and therefore have the knowledge to support families with the emotional difficulties one may experience when a parent is sick or struggling, but also the knowledge to help families and seniors make decisions for the future.
