collaborators and play partners on a project called 'improvising democracy'...

...a 'cafe' style community commons area/event that i'm proposing for our downtown city hall, initially a bi-monthly set up that may eventually turn into a weekly (even daily?) event...

this is an opportunity for collective community creativity, our ability to gain inspiration, find a voice, to envision and take action on our futures in this city.... ...and recognizing the importance of our public spaces to do so... this is an experiment in creating an engaged, creative community learning environment in a place of collective decision making, right where some small group of us need to be present....in our city hall....

how do we empower people to participate, to engage, to somehow more easily be able to share their unique wisdom within this seemingly complex process of democracy...to join with others, discover something personally meaningful, amidst such 'political' surroundings?

lets create a new sense of space within this city to innovate democracy together...
