As expected, excellent. Your ability to create an event which engages each participant where everyone walks away with something of value is a special skill. Great stuff. Thank you.
This is a very useful and practical outline of "how to use LinkedIn better"
just a few of the notes from your post:
These are all very helpful especially since I know "searching" can be time consuming for many.
You have not only automated the process, you offer a mindset to have.
Thank you Maria for offering this!
Mike
Sharpen the Sword daily someone once taught me.
This gives a perfect opportunity to do just that....
thanks for this!
Mike
John,
Just reading a book that says many of the same things. Whew. Great minds.
This is too much .... In reality what you offer here is not a few thoughts, in reality it is a working tool, a checklist if you will.
More than an article.
Since I come from the restaurant business, "always give away samples" to make them either love it ... .or have them give feedback so you can fix it ... the concept is right on.
Great stuff. .... make it a checklist and I will be an ambassador and hand it out for you. :) Actually it could become a Biznik core tool since so many are doing just that with events each week. Bookmarked and ready to share.
John, My takeaways... Transcription services and BizSugar for search.
You emphasize the importance of time on the calendar to keep up with the changing marketplace and while the new tools may seem daunting, you prove "Things are not always as they appear".
Thanks for taking the time to share.
Mike
David & Dave,
The workshop which included Video Role-Play / Video Replay: Creating, posting, and using video to connect with your customers and increase your web presence was very useful. You make a good team with creating & producing combined with what do when with a video once its done. Thank you.
Words are not enough to express the mostest awesomeness perfect message. Validating and Inspiring.
Those who will be successful will basically "Out Care" everyone else. Care and win. Care and create success.
So... I added a few photos to show the fun and smiles everyone had.
I hate whiners... But this "Winer" is a Winner in my book.
Sadly, I just could not pull the time together.... Next time! I know the time will be AWESOME. Mike
Joseph Goodwin,
Great energy, kept a potentially tough subject interesting and flowing from point to point.
Covered a lot of ground is such a short time. Offered relevant information of today's trends vs. the old days.
Kudos for taking this on and sharing key pieces of what SEO is all about. Look forward to future events.

PS How was the chocolate? :)
Jan,
A few words come to mind: -Rare -Wise -Brave -Insightful -Ponder -Paradigm -Pave
Think I am going to head over yonder and read more of your thoughts / articles.
Don't stop writing please. :)
Mike
What about two humps? Two hump camel is better than one right? :)
Connecting a camel and lack of focus was a good play on words. Unfortunately my low experience with camels and impression that they save peoples lives in the desert gives me an impression of value in a camel. :)
How about a Giraffe?
Good point... thank you!
Cool, Will be there. Thanks for the invite!
Mike
Elsie,
Glad you have started this mastermind group. Gets the brain juice flowing... great job and a very big THANK YOU. I look forward to next time (and look forward to your book!) Mike
Elsie,
Too much moving the camera around last time... blurs and sadness. This time I won't try to be like a papparatzi, keep a steady hand and get good photos. :) See you then!
Mike
Hi Patrick,
Christian, Right on!
I have to tell you everyone has great stuff!
I hope you have your calendar out and started scheduling the activities. :)
And Jim's comment is something I have done for years as well... right on again but it reminded me of something in my arsenal.
AND if you want to head in the direction that Christian suggests... let me know if you need some back up. Can save you study time and money and help you cut to the chase.
How to make it wonderful? Here is a video I made for restaurant operators... but if you take the concept and twist it, I think with a phone, the virtual world, your talents... this can make magic. (It has for me for many... many years)
Video here; http://www.rejuvenateyourrestaurant.com/Guerrilla-Marketing-Squad.html
(watch the shorter version) the front end is set up.. the back end is what has made me magic
Mike
PS Many I have contact with in smaller towns need to be shown a little how/why its important as they live in a different world.. Can be done though!

Elsie,
Great event!
Excellent masterminding with energetic & enthusiastic people.
I commend you for making something happen in the south end!
You can count on me being there next month ...notepad ready.
Thank you!!
Mike
Still looking forward to the mastermind event Elsie. Just gave it a tweet.
Patrick,
Carol is right on. Too many "graphics specialists" make things look good but don't make a marketing piece that will sell. Promise to improve performance by 20% or money back. Help people make money. (instead of a graphics artist... become a marketing specialist and team up with a copywriter like Carol) :)
You want to be proactive. I love "P" Words! Proactive is one of my favorites.
Ok... to the serious stuff. Marketing your services.
Why not go where people are already asking for services and put yourself to them?
check this out: http://99designs.com/
or how about this: http://www.odesk.com/w/
I know you are aware of: http://www.guru.com/
Last I will throw out: http://www.elance.com
The first one (99designs) is gaining popularity quickly.
You could start articles as well.
As I cruise through the ads in the local paper I will on occasion contact someone who's ad is BAD with a solution in hand.
If you can take something that exists (bad)... make it great and then get testimonials, that is cooking.
ok,,, that is my chocolate nickel's worth. I hope it was of some help. You have a tough game... but if you are in the marketing business, then you should be ahead of the curve.
Mike
PS You might resort to finding the bad stuff, creating simple proposals and sending them out. Remember, there are people who need your help are offline... and unfamiliar with the options I mentioned before.
let me know how things turn out.
Mindi,
So many great suggestions... you probably are already full?
Oh my gosh. How I need a spa right now! But my time is limited... so I will offer a few things hopefully worth a chocolate nickel.
First: Download my free ebook: "10 Magic Marketing Tips". Has some cool ideas. The front page of my website has the link to bypass the opt-in form.
Second: My library has a free marketing calendar with literally dozens of ways to make invitations.
When you get this going, cover the Who, When, How, How Many. Pre-plan on the calendar and stick with it. You can blow up the calendar at kinko's for less than $10 and put it on your wall. Then plan. (It shows a reason to celebrate something each week of the year.
Third: Ideas are EVERYWHERE. there are 101 ways to grow business in my articles on my website. Putting a calendar on a wall. Writing down DAILY - WEEKLY activities and then doing them ... no matter what. That is the challenge.
my website? www.rejuvenateyourrestaurant.com
In my past... doubling, tripling and quintupling sales has happened. To do so has required planning on the calendar and sticking to it.
Let me know if you need more help. I am in Auburn and my parents live in Puyallup.
Mike
PS Start small with a few of the choices on the calendar. Watch the video I made about your own "guerrilla marketing squad". Magic Marketing can happen.
Looking for a chocolate nickel now. :)
