Michael Max
Acupuncturist / Herbalist
Yong Kang Chinese Medicine Clinic
Seattle, Washington 98101
What Michael does
Did you know that it is NOT possible to get a doctor's appointment in China? It's true. They don't exist.
You can, however, walk in, take a number, sit down and gossip with the other patients for a few minutes or a couple hours, and then see a doc.
See a doctor the same day you have a problem?? Wow, wouldn't that be a great service to have here in the USA?
Now it is! I run a Chinese medicine clinic that provides acupuncture and herbal medicine, both by appointment and on a drop in basis. It's just like being in China, only cleaner!
What Michael does best
Sliding needles into places that call forth profound healing responses.
Concocting foul brews, with fine results. As the Chinese say "bitter mouth good medicine"
What does Michael need?
I need to find a fellow acupuncturist who is interested in building a thriving downtown practice, to rent a room at Yong Kang clinic a few days a week.
Education
Master's of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Seattle Institute of Oriental Medicine
Certificate of Study, Beijing TCM University
Apprenticeship, with Dr Jiang in Taiwan.
Experience
Figured out how to ride a bicycle in Beijing rush hour traffic. Learned to read Chinese doctors handwriting. Found the best roast duck in Beijing. And the best fresh watermelon juice in Taipei. Along with an interesting old doctor to study with.
