Dear fellow Bellevue Business owner,
My name is Dr. Michael Weir, I am the owner of Back in Action Chiropractic. It was a pleasure to meet you at the last networking breakfast. The reason I am writing is because I have a challenge for you, and all of Bellevue for that matter.
I am on the committee for the Bellevue Relay for Life which will be held on June 6th 2009 at Bellevue High School. For those of you who may not know about the Relay for Life, it is the American Cancer Society’s main fundraiser. Teams of people camp out at the football field at Bellevue High school and take turns walking or running around the track. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Relays are an overnight event, up to 24 hours in length. The funds that are raised from this event worldwide save lives by funding cutting-edge cancer research, early detection and prevention education, advocacy efforts, and life-affirming patient services.
My personal goal is to make the Bellevue Relay for Life the largest most successful relay in western Washington (raising more money and having more teams than other cities such as Seattle, Redmond, and Tacoma) This is where my challenge to you comes in. I need your help to make this happen. If you are interested in helping make the Bellevue Relay for Life a huge success, and raising a ton of money to fight cancer you can do so in a couple ways.
1) Attend an informational kick off celebration which will be the jump start to our June 6th Relay. The kick off will be held this Saturday January 31st from 10am to 11am at Lincoln Square Cinemas in Bellevue.
2) You can start a team right now! Go to www.bellevuerelay.org right now and click on the “Sign Up” button. Then start a team and it will guide you from there. Having a Relay for Life team is a great team builder for your staff, and if an excellent way to network in our great community.
3) Ask me your questions! If you have any questions regarding the Bellevue Relay for Life please email me.
I can tell you from my own experience that the Relay for Life event is a great time of fun and networking, as well as remembering those we have lost and celebrating those who have survived from cancer! I hope you will join me in the fight against cancer by attending the kickoff on Saturday and by starting a team of your own!
Yours in Health, Dr. Michael Weir [less]
