an "Edification Buddy"
Back in my software days, I found I was one of those people that functioned well with weekly status meetings and could be easily motivated by simple verbal praise & a reframe from my boss.
Now, I'm the boss. Woo hoo!
Mirrors are cool and all, but I find myself still seeking the external cheerleading squad. And after reading the recent biznik articles about Mastermind Groups, I'm sold on the idea of finding the right-fit folks to meet with on a regular basis.
Here's what I'm willing to give, and would like to receive in a one-on-one meeting.
- reviewing weekly top priority tasks from a neutral space
- verbal commitment on next weeks "next actions"
- hearing you with assumed success & knowing your greatness
- supportive words & heart-felt encouragement
- ideas for reframing blocked tasks / next actions / desired results
As for Master-Group meetings I am not quite sure how that would be structured. But I am sure that when the right people show up, the flow will naturally show itself.
