  • Awesome Idea Sierra!

LMP's seem to be abundant but disconnected from each other in supportive ways.

I wish Wed's worked with my schedule, I'll keep an eye out for other LMP events.

  • I came in to check on the event length only to find I somehow failed to properly click the RSVP button. Woopsie!

This game is awesome, and I highly recommend keeping your spot. But if for some reason you can't make it, please please please let me know.

mucho graci fellow bizniks making that cash generously flow into your lives!

  • I was totally there, until I saw the "AM" part! Have a total blast all you morning owls!!

  • Jack and Jane are awesome!!

Thank you so much for this event. Your generosity is truly a sight to behold. Anyone even thinking of questioning whether or not to attend an event hosted by them, "just do it", you won't be disappointed.

Bizniks are amazing folks. Ready to "get real" and discuss our relationships to money, and what's holding us back, AND empower each other to move past it into abundance.

    Yeh, totally sweet!!

  • Thanks Andrew, for facilitating such a great event. And a "thank you" to everyone present. And yes, I do mean that "in the moment" sort of present.

These events where we just "get real" & discuss our business challenges are what makes biznik so wonderful. The support and caring here, was awesome! Thank you so much Nancy, Craig, John and Andrew!!

  • I have to respectfully disagree with the email list idea. As a customer, I experience newsletters and email lists as a being treated like a "cog in the wheel".

"Here, let me get your information so I can bug you incessantly with my business requests".

From the GenX perspective, that is unnecessary, annoying and if you over use my email address it borderlines on harassment.

If I like you and your product, I'll come back without being "bugged". And if I really like you and your product, I'll recommend you to my friends. It's really that simple.

Now if you used my home address to send me a happy birthday wish? Wow, you remembered? You thought of me? You took the time to send me something? How thoughtful and kind!

Customer Service for us small biz owners IS the customer experience. Was I listened to? Were my needs met? Were my expectations exceeded? Were my questions answered? Do I feel I have your ear for future questions?

Simple execution on the basics. Was my call/email returned in a timely manner (or stated timeframe)? Were my questions answered? Was a new level of trust or a lack of trust established?

I emailed a massage therapist once to schedule a massage. I was told that day wasn't available and was directed to his website to do my own scheduling. I went to the site and was immediately asked for all of my personal information. I can assure you, my gut reaction was "you want HOW MUCH for a session, and you expect ME to book my OWN first appointment??" Certainly his intentions were not to be rude! Certainly he had spent countless hours setting up his site for my ease of use in scheduling! But my experience was that of rudeness and lack of customer service upon initial contact. Booking my second appointment online, after the trust was established and I was happy with his work? You bet, what a great idea!

Your website, is your storefront and your web pages, brochures and business cards are your salesforce & product "facing".
So the same ideas above apply. Can I find what I'm looking for? Is it visually appealing or overkill? Is it inviting or does it feel like you're trying to pull me in against my will?

We all want customers who WANT us, not customers who feel coerced or obligated.

In sole proprietorship, "Brand Loyalty" comes from the customer's experience of You.

  • Money Myth I'm working on: "It's more important to go to a biznik event and learn about money than to take an all day gig and make some!"

Sorry to cancel on such short notice, but I need to bust that myth!

  • Howard, thank you SO MUCH for this event.

The interactive nature of the workshop, and the participatory exercises really helped solidify the information.

It's starting to become more and more clear how the selling and referring will fall into place as connections are established and grown.

I know you say that all the time, but I'm really starting to see that it can be real for someone like me too -- rather than something only available to the seasoned masters.

I no longer feel like "sales" is some insurmountable "thing" I have to "master" before saying 'Hi' to folks at an event.

thank you, thank you and thank you!

  • Thanks for the article, Kristen. I just started attending Kiomi's Synergy Group - biznik masterminds meeting once a month as a group and establishing accountability partners to meet weekly.

Even after just 1 group meeting & 2 calls, I see how amazingly valuable Mastermind Groups can be.

And selecting the "right fit" team, is going to be essential as I move forward with this new concept of "why go it alone when there are fabulous folks to co-create with!"

  • Liza was an awesome host! Dirk, you rule!! I had the privilege of being in a Cashflow power triangle with these two and all I can say is WOW!

If you are open to it, this game will show you the money things that are holding you back, and if you are lucky enough to manifest stellar players open to authentically talking about those things ... leaps and bounds baby, leaps and bounds!!

  • This is so true! You see it all the time in my industry - offering free/undervalued services. Then the therapists are baffled by their floundering business.

Very few customers treasure the "I know I'm getting a great deal here". They may even be walking around with guilt, feeling like they are taking advantage of you!

Even first time client discounts that are too high, can create barriers to return clientelle. In the back of their mind they are always thinking "well if you'd work for that little, why would I pay the higher price? I'll just find another First Time Buyer deal."

  • Thanks Joe! And thank you Kelly for bringing up the "manipulation" issue.

My tendency is toward the anti-manipulation/persuasion/encouragement side as well. And that works perfectly for certain personality types, but leaves others feeling neglected.

"If they love me, they will come back" has caveats attached based on the personality you're dealing with. ".... if I leave them alone", "... if I make them feel welcome & wanted", ".... if I nag them until they return for the self-care they know they need & want".

And, as surprising as this is to someone like myself, there are people who WANT to be led down a sales pitch path into that "happy place" of "win-win" feelings and certainty of making the right decision in working with you.

  • HomeStreet Bank.

Local, friendly, good people, good programs for small biz folks. When I set up my free checking they actually encouraged me to use a personal account rather than business account to avoid fee's!

Branches seem to all be open til 6. Every branch I have ever been to has the friendliest most helpful folks ever. I have never been "sold to" by any of them, just treated like one of the family.

Excellent online banking services, as well as online statements if you like (no fees for any of this!). And of course all those bill payer options some people really like.

Lots of savings options with decent rates.

They aren't on every street corner, but they do have an arrangement with Key Bank so we can use their ATM's w/ no fee's.

    Check them out! http://www.homestreetbank.com

And, if you say I referred you, we both get a free gift ;-)
