PARKING KARMA and the power of "Believing"

How I find parking at the front door, anywhere in the world, and why it’s important.
Written Jul 28, 2009, read 442 times since then.

It has been said that whatever we really believe to be true, will manifest itself in our lives.  What!? The power of our thoughts will make things appear in our lives? No, that is not what I am saying. I am saying that the ideas you absolutely know to be true, that you actually physically feel to be the truth, will show up in your life. Good… or bad.

I have become quite famous among family, friends and business associates for having “Parking Karma”. No matter where I go, the time of day or whatever season it is, I park at or nearly at the front door. Whenever I get into my car I know and actually feel that I will be parking at the front door of wherever I am going and it happens every single time! How can this help you?

At the age of 49 I believed that I could be a successful glass artist. I had been blowing glass for a few years at that time but only part time. I decided that I wanted to be a full time glass artist. I “knew” I could do it. I wasn’t sure how I would get to my goal and make a living at it but I was sure that a path would open up to me, and it did. So, after 28 successful years as a baker, managing one of the largest wholesale bakeries in the Seattle area, I jumped out of the oven and into the fire, so to speak. As I left my career in baking, I was offered a spot working for one of the most famous glass studios in the world. I had three great years of experience learning from the world class glass artists who worked there. A pretty good start for a new career!

After these great three years, I had reached a fork in the road, what to do now? I “knew” I was a glass artist but what could I create that would be meaningful to me as an artist and yet communicate to others the passion of my work? So, I asked for an answer. The answer came to me, actually the phone rang.  People started calling me, out of the blue, wanting to know if I made blown glass cremation urns. I realized that my question had been answered. I “knew” this is was the art I was meant to create, works of art that would be able to hold a set of cremated remains. Cremation urns, that would become the last best thing you would ever do for someone you loved.

I “knew” that if I asked for an answer, it would come to me. It’s so simple, when we are children we ask for everything, but for some reason we stop asking for the answers as we get older.  When you “know” what you are doing is right, but are stuck on some particular problem, you need to stop worrying. Just ask for the answer, “know” it is coming to you. When you “know” the answer is coming - the right people, the right circumstances and the right answers will come into your life.

Our minds are restless and hard to keep focused. Practice; practice and you can train your mind to be in harmony with your desire. Banish your negative thoughts and beliefs. When your mind is in tune with your desire, when you “know” your thoughts and desires are in harmony – this is when goals become realities.

We are all capable of much more than we think we are. Be aware that everything you believe is not necessarily true.  Question your beliefs and make sure they are really true. What ever your thoughts and beliefs are, either positive or negative; they will become your truth.

Nice article, Mike. Inner "knowing" is a wonderful guide for our lives. I call it "intuition". It should be listened to.

We all have it and need to use it.

LOVE THIS ARTICLE! I'm so delighted to see this post. It certainly is not enough to have positive thoughts but FEELING the though and acting "as if" it has already happened. The law of attraction has changed my life. I also have the lucky "princess parking" spot magically appear too!! I thought I was the only one... ;) It will be a battle between the minds if we enter a parking lot together!

Great post Mike, I love how your words create a vivid picture of your reality.
