I'm Nathan, a freelance illustrator, graphic designer and web developer working in Seattle.

My current clients include the Northwest Chocolate Festival, Newground Social Investment, Genevieve Catering, and Withinsight Technologies. Past clients include the Interra Project and Puget Sound Community Change.

When I'm not working, I spend a lot of time biking around Seattle, writing poetry, making music, and meditating. Sometimes, I think about branding, economics, fashion, business, clothing, books and social artistry.

I do my illustrations by hand (with charcoal or watercolor, rather than a mouse), and then scan them in and "vectorize" them for use on clothing, websites and marketing materials.

If all goes as planned, this June I'll have an MBA in Sustainable Business (with a focus in Community Economic Development) from Bainbridge Graduate Institute. I studied Mandarin Chinese and Linguistics at the University of Colorado in Boulder, where I grew up.

My first project was a energy-generating satellite I designed for the science fair in 4th grade. More recently, I worked as a project manager and graphic designer for a Seattle nonprofit called the Interra Project for nearly 2 years, and helped launch Puget Sound Community Change. Nowadays, I design for folks like the Northwest Chocolate Festival, Newground Social Investment, Genevieve Catering, and Withinsight Technologies
