What Nature does

Facilitate in deepening your connection with the earth. Co-create a healing sanctuary in your yard or business. Share knowledge on native plants, sustainability, medicinal and culinary herbs, design, growing food, attracting hummingbirds and butterflies, organic methods, wildcrafting, homesteading, movement, healing and more.

I create herbal healing salves, tinctures and now love butter! Love butter is an all-natural sensual lubrication made of shea, cocoa, mango and aloe butters, jojoba oil and vitamin E. It smells like chocolate and feels like heaven. Made from organic, unrefined and/or raw ingredients.

I have been writing songs, singing and playing guitar for 7 years now. I am recording my first cd this winter. Simple and clear, my lyrics and melody feel earthy and deep like a crisp autumn morn.

What Nature does best

Listen. I am the vessel for the artist to paint his/her garden canvas; for the healer to heal. I believe we are all healers and it starts with healing ourselves. You will receive more than gardening tips. You may discover more about yourself!

What does Nature need?

I would like to work with others whom are willing to dig deeper into themselves, while digging in the earth as well! I am available for consultations on Saturday and Sunday in Port Townsend, WA. I may travel to other locations as well (including Seattle). One consultation may be all you need for motivation and inspiration.

Gigs! Please listen to my music at www.myspace.com/naturejoy. I would like to perform at your gathering, coffee shops, pubs and other cozy venues. I would also like to connect with other musicians who may want to share music, play and sing together or network.

I may be interested in selling the Love Butter wholesale. Also may be looking for someone who could design a label for it.

Education

Shamanic Herbal Apprenticeship with Julie Charette Nunn on Whidbey Island.

Experience

I worked and studied with Art Kruckeburg and colleagues Deborah Horn and Heidi Koonz at Kruckeburg Botanical Gardens. If you don't know Art, check out one of his books in the library. I worked as a gardener with the City of Edmonds, which has been voted the most beautiful town in the NW for many years. Born with the name Nature Joy, I have marveled at nature my whole life, observing her process. I have learned that light and dark are one in the universe and that it's important to know both to experience wholeness within.
