What I do is pretty straight forward: I sell wine! I work with restaurants, specialty wine shops, grocery stores and larger venues such as the Key Arena. I rarely see my job as "work," as far as I can tell, it's the best gig on the planet. Every day I get the opportunity to meet phenomenal people and pour wine from an interesting place with an equally interesting history. I help my customers select unique wines that are the perfect niche for their clients' desires and budgets. Does it get better than that?

  I had the pleasure of attending a wine tasting with Nicole. I'm not a wine snob, so I was a little worried that I'd be out of my league.

  The thing is, Nicole's not a wine snob either. She knows her wine, that's for sure. But she was just as delighted to have me experience the wine in my down-home fashion, as in any official sommelier fashion.

  So you can tell Nicole you'd like a wine the color of Randy's hair and in a bottle with a pretty label, or you can ask for "a heavy-weight wine with a spicy-earthy bittersweet finish that lengthens on indefinitely"--and she'll happily and skillfully provide, either way.
