  • To Incorporate or Not>?that is the question

okay so I was, once upon a time not so long ago a full time professional recruiter. To develop and market my business I incorporated, having been given the advice from several people at the time that it was the next logical step along the path to what was supposed to be a long and successful career.Well.... I did not have any employees ,nor was I ever planning on it. Then after a serious illness forced me out of full time business the question came up as to why I had incorporated at all? Again, I was advised poorly. Not so much for the fact that I should incorporate as the KIND of incorporating I did. I went "C" corp, but now in reviewing this it seems that designation no longer fits. I was considering changing over to a S-Corp, but wanted to know what the advantage would be in possibly foregoing S-Corp to go with an LLC? Anyone can jump in any time ---I welcome your comments/suggestions.Thanks!

  • Hello from grey street...My bad self wants to meet you!

My name is Pamela. I live on the corner of grey street and prosper... or, in real world lingo what this really means is that I wear many hats and live inside different interests both professionally and personally. Grey street represents the melding of many places,/people/experiences that have lead me here.Currently my "job" is as a realtor. NOT an agent, there is a difference. Looking for a way to spread the word about my services and mainly, to get reacquainted with the other interests I have in my life but have sort of just ignored for the most part in order to get my business off the ground. Some of these interests are: golf( not very good and would welcome lessons!), writing ( there IS a novel in me here somewhere, any one want to start a writing club with me?) and the all time favorite : wine tasting! ( but it would have to be organics now because I am a vegan---and yes there is a story behind that as well!) Anyway, I am so glad that I joined Biznik. Looking forward to hearing from you
