Founder and President, Paris Mullen Communications
Delivering his unique message of hope, unity through diversity and discovering your power, Paris Mullen has been called the "Great Communicator" by many of the groups and individuals he has inspired over the years.
Paris has been speaking and working to build unity in our communities for over fifteen years. Regionally and around the world, he has been an ambassador for reconciliation, unity and social justice.
During his career on the front lines with today's youth and their families as a youth director and family therapist, Paris has acquired first-hand knowledge of the importance of collaborating with the entire community in order to help remedy social ills. He realizes the need for not merely theory but practical approaches to today's perplexing issues.
In 1994, as a Seafair Ambassador to Europe and Asia, he was a spokesperson for cultural awareness. With his definition of diversity broadened and interest in politics heightened he pursued student government. His leadership has helped to pave the way for many "firsts." He became the first African- American student body president in the history of both his alma maters, Mount Rainer High School and Pacific Lutheran University (PLU). He was co-chair of PLU's first Ethic of Love Summit; founded PLU's annual Eternal Victory March and was president of Washington Independent Student Advocates.
His faith, authenticity and poignant message has afforded him opportunities to keynote at venues such as: The National Day of Prayer, YMCA, Blue-Shield Insurance Co., Tacoma Urban League, Tacoma Goodwill Industry's Youth Build Program, Washington State's Governor's Prayer Breakfast, Pacific Lutheran University, Seattle University, University of Puget Sound as well as a host of other schools, conferences, workshops and camps.
Paris Mullen graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a BA in Communication.
