What Patricia does
I'm the person people call when they want to know anything at all about babies and kids. I specialize in no-nonsense information and right-when-you-need-it support to parents and to businesses that want to attract parents. Do you work with anyone who has kids? Do you have kids yourself?
I help moms and dads figure out what makes sense for their kids and their families and feel confident about their parenting choices. So call me the next time you wonder, "Is this normal?" or "Am I doing this right?"
What Patricia does best
I'm a mentor. I work with clients in a long-term, situation-inspired relationship, helping with issues as they come up and providing new information as needed. Raising a child is a developmental experience and can't be organized very well around artificial goals. And supporting parents doesn't work that way either. Together, my clients and I find ways to nurture competent, self-regulated, and happy kids.
What does Patricia need?
I need referrals to new parents, parents of young children, and to those who work with families. I need to find grandparents and others who want to give professional mentoring as a new-baby gift. I need to find child-oriented businesses to host free parenting workshops that bring customers to their doors.
Education
I am an Educational Psychologist with a doctoral degree specializing in human development and learning and a master's degree in education. I've lived through the ups and downs of family life and know the rewards and the challenges.
Experience
I'm a professor of early childhood education and a writer and speaker on child development issues. I have over thirty years experience in serving children and adults. I've raised two fine sons and greatly enjoy a couple grandkids.
