  • Terra,

We missed you as well, and sent an abundance of healing energies to speed your recovery. I do plan on more Accountability Days, and would love to meet you either in that way or at another Biznik event.

  • Tammy,

Thanks for the intention. As Lori noted, the idea is a twist on Thomas Leonard's concept - joining forces in the name of accomplishment.

It's amazing how much can happen when we collaborate, even if only to spiritually support someone in their quest.

    I appreciate your support.

  • Terra,

It sounds like the timing is just right for you. Everyone will support and cheer you on as your list shrinks by one or several tasks.

  • Mike,

I wrote you under separate cover that I must cancel from this event. I apologize for the late notice.

However, that opens the door for Dawn, Judy or Suzanne.

  • Thanks, Jason. I'll give you a call.

Yes, Rebecca, it is Washington state only, though 20 other states have the same regulations - for their states only. I'll take a look at Quickbooks for my transactions. Another added step, but sounds like it works for you.

I appreciate the comments from both of you.

  • If you want to get one thing completed, or at least get it started, I encourage you to register for an event I'm hosting on November 19. It's called Get Stuff Done - Accountability Day. Five Biznikers joined me on October 22 for the first Accountability Day, and by 4:00 p.m., everyone had something (or more than one) taken off their To Do list.

Page, imagine having your closet cleaned out before Thanksgiving. Or Jessica, contacting two resources who can help with the pursuit of your passion.

I'd love to have you join us.

Great thought-provoking question, Hsuan-hua. One of my goals is to post more regularly on Biznik.

  • Jennifer - I was delighted to meet you at Coaches Cooperative yesterday. I haven't yet settled on one particular day for this event each month, so maybe you can make it at a later time. I'd love to have you join us.

Celeste - Yes, it is a great boost, and more. You get something taken care of, and you meet some fabulous Biznikers. I encourage you to RSVP while there is still space available.

    All the best, Patricia

  • Fellow CCers,

Thank you again to Kate, Leif, and Richard for an awesome event. The follow-up notes from Leif were an excellent recap. I just subscribed to LiveVideo.com, so that's a start. I'm curious about Twittering, and will be poking around that community as well.

Isn't it amazing what happens when a group of people join to share what they know? I've already marked the spot on my calendar for the December meeting.

  • Paul,

Your article is superb in demonstrating the importance of highlighting benefits that really do matter. I love those infomercials that show how a Ginzu knife can slice through a package of frozen vegetables. Why would I want to do that? What I really want is a knife that can thinly slice a tomato without shredding it to pieces. That matters.

I'm encouraged now to talk to my clients and learn what is most important for them as I coach them on their issues around stress and communication. The better I understand their preferences for service, the more successful the relationship will be.

    Thanks for a valuable article.

  • Connie and Michael,

The workshop was very valuable. I left with a growing understanding of the field of NLP. The more I see it demonstrated, the more I appreciate the power of the mind in all aspects of our lives. A day later, using memory and visualization, I can still recite the names of every one in attendance.

Having left with a treasure trove of articles from Connie, and clarity as to the intent of NLP from Michael, I'm ready to put my knowledge into practice.

Thank you for a very informative workshop.

  • Paul, Tammy and Michelle,

Thank you all for the role you played in presenting a well-prepared workshop. The initial marketing tease by Tammy convinced me to attend, and it was worth it.

Paul, thank you for expanding on the definition of selling, which as Krista shared, is "solving someone else's problems." You went from the broad view of the elements of communicating for results, and honed it to a 5-step process to attain those results. Sandwiched in between was discussion rich with your personal experiences, as well as incremental opportunities to practice what was taught.

As a coach, I especially liked your emphasis on asking questions that talk to the subconscious mind. Therein lies the true motivation for a buying decision.

Thank you, Michelle, for your support as my A-B partner. From what I understand about your background, you are well versed in the art of sales techniques.

To anyone who missed this workshop, keep an eye out for the next offering. It is fabulous!

  • Kristen,

Outstanding! Pardon the pun, but your article is timely as I design my work for this last quarter of the year. I'm guilty of occasionally trying to stuff a square peg into a round hole by taking on activities, or relationships with people, that overwhelmed me.

I've since learned to value my time by doing what is more akin to my personal values. If there is a disconnect, it is a signal to, as you say, jettison what's not working.

Thanks for a practical, inspiring article.

  • Thanks, Allan. You are most certainly correct in that personal awareness is key to resolving any issue in our lives. We are our own best champions.

That being said, I agree that many times we do better with help and support from others, such as a counselor or coach. I did not make this clear in the article.

As a coach, when I address Unfinished Business with my clients, who are already aware and willing to make a change, they are quickly able to identify what is Unfinished, and move forward to resolve it.

    Thanks again for your comment.

  • Rick,

I just read your article and appreciate the conciseness of your points. As I continue to add systems to my business, I'm learning how important it is for systems to meet my needs, as well as those of my clients.

I use Constant Contact to publish my twice-monthly ezine. Then I started using AudioAcrobat to record the ezine as I read it. No one ever listened to it. Audio is not how they want to stay in touch with me. That was a valuable lesson.

    Thanks for an informative article.

  • Hey, Lisa,

Many apologies for cancelling so close to the appointed time. My cup runneth over onto my already full plate, so something's gotta give.

I hope to see you on the 18th, if not sooner. In the meanwhile, I'm moving ahead, thanks in part to the accountability factor of the Mastermind group. My thanks to you and my group-mates for the gentle nudges.

  • This workshop is definitely worth repeating. The content was full of rich ideas that have encouraged me to look closer at how I send my message to prospects and clients.

Answering a few of the 12 questions posed by Steve helped me to craft my story a bit better, as demonstrated by Pamela.

All around, an enjoyable and informative evening.

    Thank you.

  • Julian,

Your passion for photography and the work you do is mesmerizing. I enjoyed the opportunity to work with a pro, and love how you find poses that feel natural and comfortable. Your offer was very generous, and I look forward to the final photos. Thanks for bringing together a great group of Biznikers on a fabulous summer afternoon.

  • Lara and Dan,

This was an event that far exceeded my expectations. I learned so much more about the value of the Biznik community, and am looking forward to being involved in a larger way. You were both spot on with the information you shared. I didn't have a clue about the bookmark function, and the demonstration showed how easy it is to keep track of what I want to hang on to for future reference. I also appreciate your willingness to consider ways to improve upon an already excellent service. Thanks for all you do.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself today. Thanks for organizing such an energetic event. After I leave this post, I will work on my accountability items. There's nothing like following through with a bit of a nudge. Everyone is so generous about sharing what and who they know. I highly recommend Mastermind Mondays.
