I was appointed to public office in February 2004, and elected in November 2005, as a Commissioner for King County Water District #111, which serves the areas of Meridian Valley and Lake Meridian in Kent, where I live with my wife Sarah and our five children. Among other organizations, I serves on the Legislative Committee for the Kent Chamber of Commerce, am a former President of the South King County Bar Association, and current President of the Meridian-Kent Kiwanis organization.

During college I built and restored homes and businesses, and worked for a Water District during the summer months. I took two years off from college to serve as a missionary in New Jersey, where I learned Portuguese. [less]
