  • When Karolyn first taught me the One Command technique, I left with an enhanced sense of well-being that felt extremely good; an inner contentment that I was following the right path.

What I didn't get from that first session was a indication of how powerful the technique would be in altering my current financial situation. That didn't happen until after I practiced on my own... once ; )

The shift in my own life since learning this technique has been remarkable to say the least.

Karolyn and Andrew have both been instrumental in helping me take my career goals to levels I hadn't previously dreamed. And on to achieving them.

I encourage everyone to take this workshop!

  • Sorry about canceling. I really enjoyed this event last month and was looking forward to it tonight.

If my appointment finishes early, I'll try and make it.

    Have a great evening everyone!

    Hoping to make it!

  • Hi Paul,

I may need to miss the event tonight to accommodate a client's schedule change, so I'm going to un-RSVP to make space for someone else.

Your events at the 520 Grill are some of my favorites, so I'll try and make it by later if I can.

    Thanks - Patrick

How can I donate a gift certificate for your cause?

  • I attended a nice wine tasting event at the Lakeside on North Lake Union.

The food and service was great. The space is very open with lots of natural light and a beautiful city view.

I didn't have a problem with the parking, but it is a little sketchy.

  • One of the comments I heard in our small group introduction at the start of the workshop was, "do you know a system that can help me be more organized."

I have that same concern when it comes to my time on Biznik and what I learned last evening will easily double my productivity in the social networking area.

And I'm really looking forward to the new changes!

    Thanks again to you both.

  • I agree with the above comments that you should put yourself first. You'll be no good to anyone if you burn out.

I have people come to me all the time for a program to help them manifest more energy through exercise and nutrition, but I very often suggest that they spend the money on a massage (or some other treat they can give themselves).

When they're ready, they return more able to benefit from any service I can be.

The people around you may not understand your "me" time, but soon they will realize how helpful it is for everyone involved.

  • Hey Brandi,

I was really looking forward to seeing you there. Did you make the mistake I almost did and end up the jewelry store called Twist at Pacific Place?

    Talk to you soon-Patrick

  • Hi Shawna,

I've struggled with this particular issue for the past couple of years and I can offer you my perspective (which Kaya articulated much better than me, but here goes) .

A sliding scale was just too messy; some people wanted to know what constituted the difference in fee amounts, why should people who had more money have to pay more than someone who didn't, etc.

So I just went with one fee for everyone regardless of ability to afford me. After all, the value of my service didn't slide.

And if someone wants to hire me but doesn't indicate verbally that they can't afford my services, I don't volunteer that I will work with them for less, but if they ask me if I'm willing to work within their budget, I'm happy to discuss it.

For me the bottom line is (and it took a lot of convincing to put my belief in this from some very helpful people, like fellow Bizniker Tami Smith, who told me to resist the temptation to grab the "low hanging fruit"): if you don't value what you offer, then no one else will.

    Hope this helps - Patrick

  • Positioning by Ries and Trout really helped me understand my customer's mindset. I enjoyed The Field by Lynne McTaggart for its metaphysical cohesiveness (is that a real word?) and recently have been reminded of all things as One while reading Think and Grow Rich.

It will be a Saturday, so Amy, maybe you can make it after all?

  • I've always preached "give yourself some credit for any successes" to my clients, but only recently have allowed my Self to appreciate what I've accomplished.

And it had just opened the flood gates for even greater and more frequent successes!

Thanks to all my Biznik friends who continue to encourage and support me with your positive energy.

    Right back at ya!

  • Hey! Me too!

Actually, I more irritated with the mythology of the gym that makes people afraid. Spend an hour with me and you'll know more than most people do about exercise.

This event will be as anti-gym as I can make it, so think about making the trip down.

    I'd love to see you.

  • I'm all for companies promoting their intentions (and actions) toward becoming green.

My only irritation is with those companies like GM who frame their message with an attitude that is supposed lead me to think that they've had the planet's and mine well-being always at heart.

Please. To me, it only comes off as "holier than thou" and re-enforces the my belief that they think I am really that stupid. Double insult.

I'm much more apt to buy from company who says something like, "we haven't done our best in the past, but we're trying real hard to be a better world citizen and we'd like your support for our new goals."

Yes, I know I'm naive (and Dick Cheney is somewhere laughing his naked ass off while frolicking in a pool filled with $100 bills), but it keeps me positive and besides, it won't happen unless you can imagine it, right? Right?

  • I understand about shutting everything down for a day. Everyone needs that on a regular basis.

Just so you and the other readers know, this event is meant to be a "work in" or active rejuvenation.

I'm going to do this again in a few weeks. Would a Saturday afternoon be better?

  • As always, a blessing to start the day with such a group of positive, caring and energetic people.

    Wonderful souls, all of you.
