What Penny does
I have long and varied work and life experiences in music/music therapy, education, non-profit administration and small business. See details on my LinkedIn profile. I have a few stories to tell, a few talents to share and I love learning from others. Currently, I own/manage Espresso Buono Garden Cafe, your secret haven for a quick Italian or American style espresso beverage, or to stay for the ambience, garden setting, friendly service and fabulous treats. We have space for small group functions such as BIZNIK Events! I have also provided a large, furnished space across the patio from Espresso Buono for occasional large events. I display and sell the work of local artists and craftspersons and collect books for you to read at my cafe or buy at 50% to 75% off cover price. We have occasional live music and always encourage lively conversations. My staff is very community friendly and serves the best espresso around! We boast an international flair with a regular customer base of enthusiastic, young at heart, regular fans ages toddler to 90+ years of age. Our baristas and customers represent an amazing range of talents and diversity of interests. We'd love to add you to the mix!
I love to read, garden, hike, travel, play piano and guitar, write and sometime sit with my feet up, a good cappuccino or glass of wine at my side, and sudoku or crossword puzzles at my fingertips.
What Penny does best
I hope that I encourage and motivate folks to be their best selves and do their best work. I am also a pretty good talent seeker.
I have written many grants, given speeches, facilitated effective meetings, solved conflicts and managed crisis. Plus, I serve up great espresso, blended drinks and fancy chocolates/mochas!
