Second Espresso Buono opening in Greenwood with Couth Buzzard Bookstore

SOON TO OPEN!
Couth Buzzard Books - Espresso Buono Cafe
8310 Greenwood Ave. N.
Seattle, WA 98103

Couth Buzzard is rising from the Ashes in Greenwood and  Espresso Buono Cafe will be a major part of the adventure!

For more than 20 years Couth Buzzard Used Books served North Seattle as an excellent used bookstore and community gathering place.
Couth Buzzard Used Books lost their lease next to Ken's Market on Greenwood Avenue last year and closed much to the dismay of hundreds of fans. But, the old Buzzard is now rising like the Phoenix from the ashes. The New Couth Buzzard Book Store has teamed up with Espresso Buono Cafe of Lynnwood. Their new, improved location is at 8310 Greenwood Ave North, and plans are to open November 1st 2009.
The new store will be a trade used bookstore, espresso bar, cafe, community gathering place, and art gallery. The owners' experience in books, music and theater will make Literary and Music events a natural component of this new business venture.

Owners Theo Dzielak, Gerry Lovchik, and Penny Wight have a passion for creating community.  Theo and Penny met via Biznik...each realizing the other had incredibly similar interests and passions in regard to participating in and supporting the arts, getting involved in one's business community, keeping hard copy books in the hands of folks who love them, sharing witticisms and in general making the most of each day.  Upon meeting in person at Espresso Buono, Theo, Gerry, owner of the previous Couth Buzzard Bookstore, and Penny discovered they might be terrific business partners.  That was only a couple months ago!

So -- don't pooh, pooh on-line business networking.  Yes, be cautious, critical and use good business and security sense.  But be open to new possibilities, take advantage of the expertise and experience of other entrepreneurs.  You've got to have a Dream to have a dream come true!

Gerry, Theo and Penny are busy working on their new space and could really use volunteer help. Their new space is a beautiful and funky empty slate.  Much painting, building, marketing and collection and shelving of thousands of books will take place between now and the projected November 1, 2009 opening of the store.  Book donations and books for trade will be accepted after labor day.

Espresso Buono Garden Cafe fans, Espresso Buono will still be pulling perfect shots and serving up good treats and conversation, as well as events, in Lynnwood.  The community evolving at Espresso Buono is what indie coffee shops are all about!   Thanks fans!
