Peter J. Acampora has dedicated his entire career to educating highv school students both in and out of the gymnasium. Before Peter Acampora retired, he worked as a business and physical education teacher, and Athletic Director at Salesian High School in New Rochelle, New York. In this position, Pete Acampora was responsible for the overall management of the athletic program, and was also the head coach of the boys' volleyball team and the assistant coach of the school wrestling team. Under Mr. Acampora's leadership, the Salesian High School athletic program grew from listing just three teams to eleven, allowing more students to participate in high school athletics and increasing the school's prominence in the high school athletic community. Prior to working at Salesian High School, Mr. Pete Acampora served as a teacher, athletic coach, and Athletic Director at Ardsley High School in Ardsley, New York, for 17 years. Over the course of his time at Ardsley High School, Mr. Acampora taught both Social Studies and Business Education, coached football, basketball, and softball, and served as the Athletic Director and Director of Recreation and Special Programs. His extensive involvement in many aspects of the high school for so many years made him a popular and respected presence, and under his management the athletic and recreation programs grew in size and caliber. Mr. Pete Acampora named the Three Time Coach of the Year from the New York Daily News, Two Time Coach of the Year in Westchester-Rockland newspapers during his tenure at Ardsley High School. Mr. Pete Acampora studied Business Administration at Fordham University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. Mr. Acampora then attended Pace University for his graduate studies, and earned his Master of Science degree in Educational Administration with a concentration in educational business management. Mr. Pete Acampora is an avid coin collector, and is a member of the Westchester County Coin Club. He currently lives in New York with his wife.
