  Friday, May 1st at Town Hall Seattle, The Seattle Peace Chorus presents Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana" as part of a program of musical protest and satire from the middle ages.
  

  Activist and political songs are familiar subjects for the Chorus; for over twenty five years the Seattle Peace Chorus has entertained audiences around the world spreading a message of peace and justice through song. This season the 60+ member chorus will be joined by Arthur Shaw and the Western Washington University Orchestra to perform Orff's modern choral masterpiece based off 12th century manuscripts, as well as performing a selection of medieval choral pieces. Renowned soloists sopranos Linda Strandberg and Alexandra Picard, tenor Stuart Lutzenhiser, and baritone Charles Robert Stephens will help bring this dynamic program to life.
  

  Doors open at 7:00pm. All Ages are welcome.

  Advance tickets are available for $13.00 - $15.00 at www.seattlepeacechorus.org and $15.00- $17.00 at the door. [less]
