I highly recommend any and all Biznikers to attend David's "ABC's" event. Even if you're not personally in need of estate planning knowledge, David provides valuable information that you can pass on to your friends, family and clients. The workshop is a good overview of the basics and easy to comprehend for those of us who don't speak legalese! David leads a relaxed and interactive workshop and it's a great way to meet other professionals as well.

Interesting article and good conversation too. Listening and responding...i.e. interaction is key and I agree that whether it's FB or twitter...SMM is critical for any business.

Thanks Terry...good article. Referrals are key to what we do! Sometimes we have to get out of our comfort zone to ask for them but it's crucial.

Okay...so mostly due to to me switching the date for this event...no one is rsvp'd to attend as of the time the lunch starts. So I've bumped this one into February.
I hope Allen and Diane and others can attend one of the 3 I'm hosting in the near future.
Thanks!

Should have read this during the ice/snow storm! :-) The hardware store ran out of de-icer...so I shoveled all day for my tenants...
Looking forward to spring,

I have a business plan that includes the sections you list above...but I also have a super simplified plan on one sheet. It's hanging in my office, in my binder I carry around and I try to look at it several times a week. It has the top things I do to make sure I'm tracking with my goals. I highly recommend people have a simplified plan they can review often and quickly. I found that I never pulled out my 15 page document...though the thought process that goes into creating the larger plan is crucial.
Looking forward to your next installment.

I'm off to give some New Years gifts right now! I'm delivering them in person to my top contacts/clients...that's another touch that adds to any gift given.
Thanks for a good article.

Good ideas. I think it's so important to declutter our businesses (physically and mentally) as we all aim for a great '09. I go a step further and try to do this on a montly basis. I find I'm much more productive when I'm operating on a super simplified level and have as little input (spam, magazines, junk mail) coming in as possible.

I'll have to pass on this one. Haven't gotten to much work due to the snow and all. I'm sure mid-westerners think we're insane. At any rate, I'll shoot for one of your future lunches.
Cheers,
Phil

Thanks everyone for braving the snow and grabbing lunch today. And thanks to the Spencer Taxi Service!

Enjoy the holidays, Phil

Okay, this is the final change. I moved the venue to the Nickerson Street Saloon & Grill just on the Queen Anne side of the Fremont Bridge. This way we don't have to deal with any hills on Queen Anne.
Thanks for your patience as we deal with our incredible weather!

Again, this will be "road conditions dependent." As of late Sunday...some roads to Queen Anne were closed...so I'll keep you posted!
