What Rachel does
I support wellness practitioners by helping them find what their bodies, hearts, and environments are telling them. Together, we go ridiculously deep to heal disharmony from within.
What do I mean by disharmony? I mean the moments when one part of you says it wants something, but another part is fighting against it, tooth and nail. We all have parts that conflict, which is where most insecurity, anxiety, and stuckness comes from.
Whether you're a counselor, healer, or massage therapist, when you're looking for someone to support you in working on your own conflicting parts, you want someone you can absolutely trust.
You don't need to be taught therapy basics and you don't want to spend time and money on dozens of sessions before you feel comfortable enough to really get to the heart of the work.
And yet you want someone effective and grounded. You want to work deeply within yourself with someone who can hold the space and work with you compatibly.
I know what it's like to search for just the right healer...and how hard it can be to let someone else support me in the work that I do. We healers have to be choosy about who we let into our energy fields because we are finely tuned instruments. You don't let just anyone handle your Stradivarius, right?!
I use my hands-over energy work--along with EFT, Constellations work, rituals, IFS, and more--to help you access your mind, body and spirit deeply and quickly. And you'll feel safe because my techniques are grounded in a foundation of psychotherapeutic skills, ethics, and boundaries.
I hold a space for you to go into the deepest, scariest crevices of yourself. Together we'll bring in the light to heal and integrate those shunned parts.
As one of my clients said, "Rachel, you go to places inside where most fear to tread, and you seem to love it. You are so loving and fearless...I feel like I can go anywhere when you're holding space for me."
What Rachel does best
I've been a poet, a temp, a desk jockey, and, many times over, a student. But what pushed me into finally pursuing my passion was the 4 years of being an admin assistant at a small IT shop. Imagine a "people person" stuck in a cubicle inside an office with no one around, and all her coworkers communicating by email, even though they were just across the hall. Yikes!!!
When I got honest with myself about who I wanted to be professionally, the thing that stood out for me is how I can feel other people's suffering. And I see how they don't have to.
I love this work. I love it because it's not about theory or a prescribed way of being in the world, but because it's about each of us finding our own most self-loving way.
I love connecting with people in this moment, seeing what's up for them right now and getting to feel with them how that is. And I love even more the "Ah-HA!" moments when people get what I can see: that their wholeness, their peaceful and compassionate True Self is accessible to them right now.
I love that I can create this transformational moment for people to have that felt experience. It's like building a muscle-memory; if you can feel what it's like to do this now, you'll be able to replicate it more easily in another moment on your own.
My background includes a Masters Degree in Poetry from the University of Florida and a Masters Degree in Applied Behavioral Sciences (meaning I'm trained as a psychotherapist) from the Leadership Institute of Seattle through Bastyr University. I also am continually training in energy psychology techniques, such as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and alternative energy healing, and I am receiving supervision in Internal Family Systems.
What does Rachel need?
I'm opening my heart to finding my ideal office space, centrally located, just the right size, just the right price, just the right building mates.
I also would love to be introduced to other therapists and bodyworkers who need some support right now finding answers and healing within themselves. My calling is to bring deeper wellness into the lives of those who do the same for their clients--to support those who bring more health to the world.
