I would be willing to let people use my gallery for events. I also have an upstairs that I intend to turn in to a classroom, this may be my inspiration and motivation to get on it.
I just got a white board and I have seating for up to 40 people in the downstairs and 10-15 upstairs.
I have shamelessly self promoted. I have done something outrageous! I will tell you about what I did and I would love to hear what other bizniks have done crazy acts in the name of business.
The city of Seattle has been tearing up the road in front of my place for two months. It has hurt my business.
So I think they are all done, every thing is cleaned up, and tonight I show up at the gallery and have an event planned and there is HUMONGOUS equipment, steam rollers and some other biig contraptions parked in front of my gallery.
All up and down the street are closed businesses that they could have parked in front of but NOOOOOO, they have to park in front of the only business that actually makes money on their store front.
So, I decided to take action, I turned the steam rollers in to floats. Pink and orange tropical theme, streamers, wind chimes, and a great big sign that says Raven's Gallery Erotic's Beautification Project.
KIRO Radio has something about it and KING 5 and N.W. Cable News will have something on it.
So if you have a chance drive by 408 Dexter Avenue and check out my handiwork. An artist friend of mine even made a chalk mural on the actual roller on one of the steam rollers.
We had so much fun I cannot even tell you!!!
If any other members out there are up for spontaneous craziness let me know.
P.S. I was very careful to not damage anything, and to be very mindful of where I placed things so they did not accidentally fall in to machinery etc...
I am hoping that the workers will get a good kick out of it. Maybe even keep the steam rollers decorated while they work.
I am expecting apx 150-200 guests. We will be serving beer but need hot dogs, BBQ or pizza or something. lol

Hi Everyone, I need some advice quick.
Here is the problem.
This coming Wednesday the Seattle Weekly is going to have a BIG article about toxic sex toys that features me. This is the best marketing opportunity I have had since opening my biz.
However the article will not have my address, phone or web address.
Today I discovered that we have no phone listing with directory assistance and this will be one of the primary ways that people will be able to locate my gallery. It is uncertain if the listing will be available by the time paper comes out.
Any advice on what I can do to help people find me?
The one bright spot here is thanks to my biznik profile I actually appear in Google searches for Raven's Gallery Erotic.
