I have an opportunity to go out of town for a few days on business, and as much as I wanted to go on this walk with you all, I'm going to take the opportunity.
Please do this again so I can go!

This sounds like so much fun! Anyone from the north side (Greenwood/Greenlake area) willing to bring me across the water? I'll bring my small dog (a Chinese crested hairless named Mushu - yep, that's right!).
Glad Miss Anna is jumping back!

This is a great book! I won't be attending this one, but I am so appreciative that I read this book just as I was getting my first business up and running. It's awesome! Good pick Debbie!

This event sounds really cool, and I would have RSVP'd already if I knew I could make it there. Anyone from North Seattle want to carpool? Pretty please? ;)

Mike, Have you heard of noonhat.com? I think you would enjoy it. It was created by a biznik and the general idea is similar to what you describe in your article.

"Don’t open with “What do you do?” because it limits rapport-building."
So what do you recommend opening with instead? You've peaked my interest now!

Posted Apr 15, 2008 coaches in Seattle - unite! by Rebecca Beltran
Oh, and I think it's a good idea to start with a one time thing since it seems like a lot of us coaches are already involved in lots of other regular groups.
We'll play it by ear - just know that showing up doesn't commit you to anything.

Howard, Would you still recommend I come if I have to leave just before 1pm? I wanted to check and make sure I wouldn't be interrupting anything if I had to leave early.

Mimi, Are you by any chance a member/student of the Academy for Coach Training in Edmonds? I have a friend attending there right now and she's said wonderful things about it.
Welcome to Biznik!

Posted Mar 26, 2007 Event times - will you do breakfast? by Kevin Selkowitz
I won't be able to make it to weekday breakfasts for a while, and while a weekend breakfast is a possibility, it depends a lot on where it's located.
Lunches - again, depends on where it's located.
After work is the easiest time for me to get places.

Ok. First obvious question...
What the heck is rolfing? I have honestly never heard of it before. I've heard of ralphing, which is not so good. But never rolfing.
Would you be so kind as to indulge us with a brief overview?

Posted Feb 23, 2007 Any Digital Camera Nerds Out There? by Sarah Johnson
I'll second the Canon vote. They seem to have really high quality lens compared to the other cameras in the same price range. I have a Canon Powershot A95, one of the bigger ones that's a few years old. I bought it new for $350.
Great resolution (5 MP), good battery life, manual option plus lots of useful preselected scenes. I very often get a perfect shot using the Auto select, especially outdoors.
I take upclose pictures of jewelery for my husband's business and need to use the manual for that, but pretty much everything else I use a preset setting for.
One of the reasons I went with the bigger camera is because I take a lot of low-light photos and it's tough to hold a very light camera still enough to make a sharp low light photo.
Plus the fact that it uses AA batteries makes it easy and affordable to replace them when I'm in Mexico on vacation. The Lithium batteries are about $60 here to replace, but in Mexico they cost over $100.
One downside of the Canons used to be that they had a maximum time on the videos you can record. I think it's 30 or 45 seconds? Anyway, great camera, great lens, great deal.
Enjoy your shopping! Rebecca
