What Rebecca does
I am a writer, editor, and product development specialist. I help build brands, write copy, and come up with graphic solutions (although I can't draw to save my life). I'm a relationship builder, thought leader, and team player. And you have my word(s): I won't resist input from graphic designers and marketing folks because I believe creative collaboration helps a great idea turn into reality.
What Rebecca does best
I come up with original concepts, then figure out how to execute. I write, edit, and edit some more. I bring ideas to the table while bringing people together. I GET concepts from the ground up and contribute creatively at every level. I like to make people smile at every stage of the process, and aim to forge connections with all involved.
I definitely owe some gratitude to the many years at Burning Man. Community, collaboration, play--all things I cherish. And I thank my lucky stars that I was a camp counselor around the world, for whether it was in Bosnia, N. Ireland, or in LA, I was blessed with the presence of contagious goodness and passion.

Experience
ONLINE EDITOR I now manage the growing and gifted editorial team at Classmates.com. The brand voice is changing, the site is being re-designed, and my sleeves are rolled up.
CREATIVE CONSULTANT I have worked with: a social networking website, a psychologist, an invention studio, online games developers, a design firm, a book publisher, an educational and tutorial center, a printing company, and a mobile content provider.
GAMES COPYWRITER As the Copy Curator at Cranium, I led the editorial re-branding of the product packaging. Prior to that, I was the senior writer for Mattel Games Design in Los Angeles. I helped create and develop brands from the research and brainstorming phases to play testing and final execution of the content, packaging and rules. I worked on developmental games for young children, licensed products for kids, and social interactive games for adults.
MAGAZINE EDITOR Before working on games, I was the Managing Editor for Entertainment@Home magazine, a national publication that explored the convergence of media in the digital era. I was one of the principals that helped launch this magazine. In addition to being a regular contributor to its film section, I was also the Music Editor for the weekly Entertainment Today magazine.
FREELANCE WRITER I have contributed stories of pop culture and entertainment to publications including Premiere, Rolling Stone and Request. Ive also written about travel, from the tale of a Bollywood film star in Soma magazine, to my experience at a Croatian peace camp in the book, Europe from a Backpack.
CHILDREN'S ADVOCATE & TEACHER For three years, I served on the Board of Directors for the non-profit, the Global Childrens Organization. In addition to fundraising and re-designing the brochure and website, I volunteered as a camp counselor around the world. In recent years, I have been a teacher and guest lecturer, espousing the virtues of volunteering, travel writing, word play, and games design.
