What Rebecca does

I help independent professionals create or maintain effective marketing strategies. I also help them get caught up with all those little things they know they "should" do, but they never seem to get to!

My clients are successful at what they do, but may lack the staff, time, technical knowledge or desire to manage the details of their own marketing campaigns. I help them get a system in place, either online or more traditional, which helps them stay connected with their clients and customers.

Now, they can spend more time doing what they enjoy - serving customers (and making money) - and less time trying to update databases, send newsletters, start or troubleshoot their blog!

Delegate, It's Very Easy! The #1 benefit of hiring an Independent Assistant (or Virtual Assistant) is you don't have to fill my day! I work on an "as needed basis" and only when you have work.

Start thinking about all the things that make your life hectic. Think about all the time you spend on tasks you don't like or the ones you just never have the time for. Outsource them!

Spend a week or two keeping track of all the 'tasks' you do during the week and then think, "Do I have to do this?" First, I recommend considering if completing the task is benefiting your business - sometimes we just do things because that's the way we've always done them. Then consider hiring someone else to do the things that have to be done but keep you from doing what you do best.

What Rebecca does best

Organize and streamline. I work with my clients to determine the best strategy to provide the maximum benefit of my time. I help set up processes to streamline projects and day-to-day tasks while providing help with those jobs that take away from time spent "on" the business. I am a quick learner and am proficient with many software programs.

A few, but not all, of the services I provide:

SALES & MARKETING List Generation/ Management General Sales Correspondence Seminar/Class/Client Materials Customer Relationship Management * Newsletters: Online or Print

DATABASE MANAGEMENT Creating Database Data Entry * Organization & Sorting

INFORMATION MANAGEMENT Web Site Updates Spreadsheet Creation/ Updates * Power Point Presentations

SOCIAL NETWORKING Blogs Twitter * LinkedIn

GENERAL TASKS Administrative Tasks Calendar Managing * Filing

What does Rebecca need?

Introductions to professionals who want to be more consistent in their marketing efforts. Also, referrals to anyone who could use a few hours of help a week!

Experience

A couple examples of what I have done in the past for clients:

Turn Business Cards into Outlook Entries - The last time you went to a networking event, or worked a booth at a tradeshow, did you follow up with the people you met? What if you could pass off your business cards weekly and have them entered into Outlook (or whatever CMS system you use) so they are ready for you to use? - Stay connected with your client and networks

Client Appreciation - Whether a friend, family member or client, we all want to remember people at special times of the year. For a past client, I spent one morning at the beginning of the month addressing and stamping all her birthday cards for that month. I banded them together with post-its showing when they needed to be mailed. She carried them with her and wrote in them whenever she had a few minutes and then mailed them in time to get there by their birthday! - No stress way to let people know you're thinking about them

I have been an independent assistant since January 2003, primarily in the real estate and mortgage industries. Before that I worked for 6-years in the High-Tech industry, where I worked as a web developer; 5-years in a membership based organization; 5-years as general office support in an advertising agency and local business newspaper.
