Hi Penny. I know just where you are but Im sad to admit I have never been in your coffee shop even though Im addicted to coffee!!
Why should you sell online???
Because you have the potential to reach millions of people worldwide vs the thousands in our fine town!
Question would be.... Could you handle the increased production???
Speaking of which, I would at some point, love to meet you and talk business as one of my favorite products, second to good coffee, is chocolate!
As I understand it (at least as far as our products go) Destination Sales Tax is used for Washington State only.
And yes you will need to find out via the Dept of Revenue site what the sales tax is for each city you sell a product to and bill sales tax to those customers at that rate.
On out of state sales you do not need to worry about sales tax...at least that is how I understand it.
My website is zencart but I use quickbooks for the actual accounting and set up each city with the coordinating sales tax rate. And yes its a pain in the *ss.
I have a parent company: Country Meadow Ltd.
Under this parent company I have registered trade names/companies.
Two have to do with the parent company's products.
The third trade name will be a totaly separate entity with its own logo, colors, website and product.
But everything will be run under the parent company as one.
I dont see why you cant do the same.
I also like Bigfoot!
You need a niche market... and NOT one based on sex (bikini/males etc.). I find those types of stand so disgusting and would never go to them nor do I know of any middle age women that would.
You need to consider who your target market is.
I totaly agree that if you could base the stand around being eco-friendly that would not only cater to us 'greenies' but perhaps the younger crowd also, who is slowly becoming aware of keeping our planet viable.
Eep! Thank goodness I saw this as I forgot about it already.
Please email me a mailing address and I will ship what we had previously discussed.
LOL... Thanks Nancy... I was wondering how to do that!!!
Great article. No matter how many times I try to read what has happened it gets confusing! You explained it very well!
My accountant also said the last straw for WaMu was that people panicked and pulled their money out...a big no, no and it was what finally pulled WaMu under.
Am curious to see what future safeguards will be put in place to prevent something like this from happening again...or are there any...safeguards that is?
I detest Walmart for various reasons and will never set foot in their store.
I think with all the negative issues they have had they needed to do something 'positive'.
Their new logo gives the impression of being 'soft', gentle and even better.....green.
Not that Im buying any of it.
I have not received such calls... but if the person who calls says they are a member of biznik I would be more open to listening to what they have to say then deciding whether we could work together or not.
Because they are a fellow biznik member I would allow them the courtesy of listening instead of automatically wanting to hang up on them.

I find it a fascinating way to keep up with my peers and others in the business industry not to mention Santa Claus and the Mrs!
I am excited about this plan! Our country has depended on foreign resources far too long and I agree that we are in a hole that will just get bigger.
We need to do something now and there is no reason that we cant come up with renewable resources right here at home!
I am curious to see what the new president is going to do to help further develop renewable resources.
Due to a setback in a deadline with a client Im going to have to bow out of this event. If anyone wants to talk eco-networking for marketing purposes give me a hollar!
ROFLMAO... I will honestly say your post wasnt exactly what I had expected!
Im interested in a choc festival! I have chocolate scrubs, creams and soap!!!!
Cant make it this weekend... Daughter #2 is turning 24.... do you have any idea how old that makes me feel??
Amy Woidtke (who did our rebranding along with Star Morris) did my letterhead. I wanted to be able to print my own letterhead at will so they created a pdf so all I have to do is open it up and print. I use special watermarked paper (that fits with our look) and run it through.
Then when I need to print a letter I type it out in Word then run the letterhead paper through a second time.
Most of the time I will print/create 50 letterheads at a time.
Maybe you can find a graphics designer to create your own letterhead that reflects your look this way you can print at will.
Now I can only hope I can find Burien without getting lost!
Yep I saw it too! Congrats!
I use Quickbooks but I was told a long time ago that Peachtree had a large learning curve. Not sure exactly what that means though!
I dont have a nose!
Going from memory here cause I started 10 years ago... but I used quicken at first...for a brief period of time. It just didnt suit my needs and was basic at best. I have been using quickbooks for several years now and love it.
It may be beneficial to take a basic accounting class so you understand debit, credits and such. I have been bookkeeping for well over 20 years so I understand most of what quickbooks entails.
(I love cilantro!!!!)
