  • How Do You Keep Your Name In Front Of Potential Clients?

As you all know, many of our perspective clients may not think that they need our services right now. How do you keep your name in front of perspective clients so that when they do recognize that they need your service, they think of you favorably?

  • Where Do You Have Your Meetings?

Something that came up at one of the events I host is where do you meet your clients and perspective clients. Since many Bizniks have offices in their homes, this seems to be an ongoing issue.

  • Potential Seminar Locations

For those of us who host Biznik events and conduct seminars finding meeting rooms is sometimes a challenge. I think that it would be helpful to compile a list of meeting rooms available, minimum requirements, room costs (If the room is not provided free when meals are purchased), size, location and telephone number. Any information you can provide is greatly appreciated.

  • Speed Networking

I'm thinking about hosting a networking program, very much like speed dating only for networking. The concept would put two people for about 10 minutes then move on to the next person and so on. I'd love to have your input as to whether or not you think it would be a good idea.

  • Seminar Selling

I have used seminar selling for years. I would like to know who else is using seminars to market their services (or would like to). How has it worked for you? What mistakes have you made?

I'll start with one of my bigest mistakes. One of the biggest mistakes I ever made was about 30 years ago. I did an introductory seminar on Profit Planning for Small Businesses (A seminar I still use). We provided dinner and an open bar. We had 110 business owners and their wives. Of those I got 2 that were interested in getting together later. (I followed up with letters and a phone call). A month later I did the same seminar, with different people. This time I had 27 business who wanted to see me afterwards. The difference was that the first seminar I had the bar before the seminar. The second one I did after the seminar. Most of the people were so far gone by the time I spoke, that they could not remember what was said. The second one, they hung around and I got to know them. I no long provide a bar of any kind now, because of the liability involved.

  • Leadership Lesson

Since I think that all of us are leaders in one way or another, what is the most important leadership lesson you have ever learned. I will start first. The most important leadership lesson that I have ever learned is that those closest to me will have the biggest impact on my success. That is why I am very careful about who I let into my inner circle.
