Robert Lawson
Video Producer, Director, Editor
Bus No. 8
Seattle, Washington 98102
What Robert does
Documentary production, promotional / fundraising videos, live performance videos, profile videos, product videos.
I think people want to get a sense of who they are dealing with, even before approaching them. Video on your website, or on your Biznik profile, is a great way to not only tell people who you are, but show them who you are and help them make a connection with you right off the bat.
What Robert does best
As a producer, director, videographer and editor - my main goal is always to tell a story, and present the essence of a person, an organization or product.
A recent happy client referred to our work as "anthropological", and I think that's really true. We don't just try to sell your work, we really try to capture what's important, vital and unique about it. We do this by researching your company and by really listening to you.
The most common endorsement we get from our clients is, "they really got us."
Education
Certificate, Documentary Production University of Washington, 2005 Six month program taught by Emmy and Peabody award winning producer, Ben Saboonchian of KIRO TV, and award winning editor, Drew Keller of PBS/WNET.
Experience
With my partner, Richard Jackman, I have produced documentaries, promotional videos, karaoke videos (yes...that's right) and live performance and event videos.
We are on the 4Culture, King County Arts Organization, 2008/2009 talent roster for video production, and have received grants from the Seattle Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs, 4Culture, Northwest Film Forum and Christiania Researcher in Residence for our documentary, "Christiania: Our Heart is in Your Hands", which is currently in production.
